Digital is supposed to stop your calls from been listened into, if it is analogue it is very easy.
are there a choise of different channels? can you haer her conversations?
turn off the base and try turning on the handset and see if you can listen in?
if the phone battery is getting old it won't transmit as far.
the signals move in line of sight so if you move the base it might work better for you and maybe make it difficult to listen in?9They might get your signal stronger than there own?

What does t-coil mean on uniden dect 6.0

Here's the description from the Unident DECT1560 manual (the model I have).

--
Digital cordless phones generate magnetic signals that can cause noise on hearing aids equipped with a telecoil ("T" coil) feature. This phone includes a special "T-coil" mode that, when activated, reduces the magnetic noise generated by the handset.

My sweeper pump started making a loud noise yesterday , it is still running but the noise is so loud that I can not keep it running long I dont know anything about pools my husband always took care of it...

Thank you for posting your question here on Fixya.com.

I am sorry to hear of your husbands recent passing.

A pump can cause loud noise for several reasons. Some noise is normal with a pump but when it is very noisy it is indicating a potential problem. If the seal is damaged it may whine and then it usually starts to leak(sometimes a seal leak allows water to get into the bearing at the pump end and reduce its lifespan). If the bearings are damages they will make excessive noise before doing other bad things. These are the most common noises indicating a problem.

If I hear one of these whines I usually make a mental note and let the customer know there is a potential issue. I give them the option of letting it go until it either starts to leak or worse or fixing it right away. Sometimes it operates normally for quite a while while other times it fails very soon.

The motor can be replaced in this pump and therefore cost less. If you have a Leslies pool supply store in your area you can take it to them and if they are not busy they usually fix it while you wait if they have all the parts. They usually only charge you for the parts to repair it.

The only problem you may have is removing the pump and reinstalling it. You might want to find a friend, relative or neighbor to help you do these two tasks. If this happens you can see what tools they use and how it is done so you can do similar things later.

If this answer does not resolve your issue, please comment with additional information before rating the answer. Positive feedback is especially appreciated once your problem is solved! Thank you.

Phones are approx. 5yrs old.....starting to get cracking noise?

Sounds like the batteries may not be holding a full charge and depleting rapidly. Batteries are usually only good for a few years at best. Given the age of your phones and the much better quality of today's units (DECT 6.0) it is probably a wiser choice to replace the phones than just the batteries. At 5 years old the old phones have served you well and you'll probably enjoy the benefits of newer technology. There are many good brands to choose from - my personal preferences are Uniden and Panasonic.

Clicking on handsets, loss of signal strength.

We decided to remove each handset, one at a time, from the system to see if we could determine if any of them were defective and maybe the cause of our problems. We took handset #1 and removed its battery. We continued to have the clicking and other noise. We put the battery back in handset #1 and removed the battery of handset #2. Immediately we noticed we did not experience the noise and clicking problems. We have concluded that handset #2 is defective. To verify we will keep handset #2 out of service for a week. At the end of a week we will reinstall the battery and if we have noise and clicking we have verified handset #2 is defective, the cause of our noise and clicking and needs to be replaced. Just to be on the safe side we will continue testing each additional handset to verify if any others are defective.

Have you tried switching channels? Could be that some kind of equipment in your home or nearby is interfering.

WHEN I HIT THE TALK BUTTON, IT BEGINS WITH A SCRATCHY NOISE AND SOMETMES IT SQUEELS. I HAVE UNPLUGGED EVERYTHING FOR AN HOUR OR SO AND PLUGGED EVERYTHING BACK IN. THAN AS TOLD, I TRIED TO 'REREGISTER' BOTH...

I WAS TOLD THE PROBLEM WAS PROBABLY THE BATTERY. AS THE BATTERIES ARE THREE YEARS OLD AND CONTINUE TO POWER THE UNIT I CAN'T BELIEVE IT'S THAT. IT STATES THAT THE BATTERY SHOULD LAST ONE YEAR AND WOULD INDICATE "LOW BATTERY". THE PHONES ARE ALWAYS IN THE CRADLES AND POWERED UP. I TESTED THE OUTSIDE LINE AND FOUND NO NOISE. AS THE BATTERIES ARE $20 EACH, I BOUGHT A NEW PHONE FOR $10. SINCE THEN, I HAVE RE-CONNECTED THE OLD UNIDEN PHONES, BOTH IN MY HOME OFFICE AND IN MY BEDROOM AND THEY SEEM TO WORK JUST FINE WITH A MINIMUM OF NOISE. THIS ALL OCURRED AFTER SEVERE SNOW, WIND AND RAIN STORMS.
THANKS FOR YOUR RESPONSE.

Clicking noise on all handsets upon pick-up

could there be interference ?

Severe noise interference.
• Keep the handset away from microwave ovens, computers, remote control toys, wireless
microphones, alarm systems, intercoms, room monitors, fluorescent lights, and electrical
appliances.
• Move to another location or turn off the source of interference.

Or maybe the unit is recording the calls, this is accompanied by an alert tone or click.
