Need manual for a pro79 need to program frequencies som buttons wore and don't know what they are

  • Here is a free copy of your manual http://www.mediafire.com/?75pyt8a4n86k6qt when you get to the link click on "Click here to start download from MediaFire.." and the PDF will download onto your computer.

  • If you give me your city and state I can get you some free frequencies for your area to program in.

  • To program frequencies into your computer follow these steps.
  1. Press the "MAN" button and enter the channel where a frequency is to be stored.
  2. Now enter the frequency and don't forget to include the decimal point [.] .
  3. Now press "ENT" to store the frequency.
  4. Repeat the steps until the scanner is full.

  • There is also a diagram in the manual that shows you where each button is on your scanner.

  • If you have any comments please feel free to leave them here.
  • Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa.

Pro 84 locked up says on screen in program mode wired

Your scanner should only enter the WIRED mode if you have a clone cable plugged into it. The only way to clear the problem is to RESET the scanner. Unfortunately this procedure will also erase all the frequencies that are programmed into the scanner. RESET is covered on page 54 of the scanner manual -- if you don't have yours you can download and print a copy here:

No owners manual

You can download and print your scanner manual, at no cost, here:

http://www.uniden.com/pdf/BCT8om.pdf

If you don't have it already, you will need to download and install the latest version of Adobe Reader - a free program - before you can download the manual.
