Pressed reset button on left hand therm0stat dryer runs but still error code f10 elements not getting warm

I found this, an answer already posted on Fixya.....

If you remove the back cover of the drier with the appliance un pluged, you will see the heater bracket.

un screw this from the back panel, and at the top you will see three thermostats. There is a brown one with a small hole in the middle, if you use a pin and press in, you should hear a click. This resets the thermostat and you should be able to use the drier again.

How do you remove top from a Hotpoint CTD80 tumble drier. 2 Screws holding at back. Does it slide forward or back or lift vertically, or are there other screws to remove?

2 screws at the back and then push the top towards the back of the machine...you might need to give it a bit of a wack, if it's too tight just take the 3 screws from the back of the side panels and things will loosen up a little

No heat F-10 F-08 HOTPOINT ULTIMA CTD80

When you take the large metal plate off the back of the drier you will see the 4 elements (bars/coils with fins!). separate the plate from the element bracket by removing the 2 screws. there are 3 round cylinder type electrical connectors, there will be a black one with a hole (approx 2mm) poke a small pin into it and you will hear a click. This is the Bi-Metallic thermo cut out device. as it has tripped once it will have slightly weakened the "sprung contact", This may cause it to trip again a little while later. A new thermostat will be required if it keeps returning. dont forgot to clean the condensor unit on a monthly basis.

remove 2nd largest panel on back of dryer then remove the heater unit (two small screws) from inside panel,on the top of this you will see two small units with wires going in and out both sides looking closer one of these units has a small hole using a pin push it down into hole this resets thermal cut out,you should hear a small click.

Dont know what the fault codes are for my Hptpoint Dryer CTD80

Hi.
F10 indicates that the heater is open circuit, or the thermostat is faulty, more likely to be open circuit thermostat, you should replace both thermostats.
Also make sure that you clean the filters regularly

This should solve your problem.

Hotpoint ultima tumble dryer error code f-03

i have a hotpoint ultima ctd80 which i have had the last 2 years, it has shown error codes f11, f10 and f15, every time i fix this problem by first switching off and unplugging appliance then removing small cover from back (middle with 2 screws) then larger panel that the smaller panel overlapped. once you remove these you will see the heating elements, remove the 2 screws at the back off this, remove cover carefully then at the top you will see two things (not very technical lol i am a woman), with a pin press the pin in the one with a hole, mine makes a clicking sound when i do it, not sure if it meant to but works for me. put all parts back together and thats the job done. make sure both fillters and water emptied regular, hope this helps and saves you a fortune on call outs

Apparently a common fault on these indicit based driers.

it worked on mine
