Question about Creative Labs DDTS-100 Digital Decoder (51mf8000aa008)
I have a Creative ddts-100 decoder which has worked fine until recently when it has started to cause a loud buzz through the speakers. I use it to connect my wd tv, tv and PC to my speakers. I know that its the ddts rather than the speakers causing the noise because when I take it out the speakers work fine. This has happened before but after turning the power off to the ddts for the night it fixed itself. This hasnt cured the problem this time and the buzz has now lasted for a couple of weeks making the ddts pretty much useless. Any ideas what might cause this or how I could fix it?
Mine does the same through the digital inputs only. It's not interference as it works for a while, then suddenly you get a load of crackly digital distortion type noise. Sometimes it fixes itself if you power cycle, sometimes not.
I just use the analog inputs as I'm just using it as a headphone amp now...

It might be intereference that's being amplified. Try moving the power pack away from other things. I got the same when it was positioned near a 360 power brick.
