Don't know the size, but you can purchase very cheaply a bag of assorted belts (e.g., on dalbani.com). Chances are there is a belt in that assortment which will fit.

You can use a spare tape or CD socket. However you will also need a magnetic cartridge preamp to boost the signal.

Try:

If the turntable has a two-piece platter, Lift off the outer platter and place the belt around the inner platter and motor pulley.

If the turntable has a one-piece platter, lift off the whole patter, place the belt around the inner drum. There will be a hole in the platter's top through which you can reach a finger to stretch the belt so that the belt can be placed around the motor pulley as you put the platter back in place.

If you look at the Cartridge it should have a make and model number on it. Put that into Google and it should find a replacement stylus.

I have two 1210s, a mk 2 and a mk 5. When I let go of a record on my mk 2 it seems to take longer to catch speed compared to my mk 5, and feels 'slack'. Any ideas what this is?

Being the older model, the chances are that the drive belt on the Mk2 turntable has got worn and shiny with use. It may also have stretched a bit. If you are using the tables for 'scratching', the fact that you are holding onto the turntable when the motor is running is placing a strain on the belt that it is not really designed for. I would recommend changing the belt - you can easily find spare belts for sale on the internet

I am looking for a Sansui turntable cartridge, stylus and needle for model SR-222

You can use any standard 1/2-inch mount cartridge, not just the original. So you can shop around and get whichever one fits your budget. Here's one place I have purchased cartridges from. You can find many other sources online, and there may be a stereo shop or musician's supply store in your area that has cartridges in stock.

If you need a copy of the manual which shows how to install and adjust the cartridge, you can download it from Vinyl Engine. You need to register to download, but it's free.

The needle and the stylus are the same thing, and the cartridge is what holds the stylus, by the way.

Technics 1210 MK2 - unstable/uneven speed problem

Since this is a direct-drive turntable, it isn't a slipping or stretched belt. You will need a technician with a couple pieces of equipment and some experience/training to find the source of the problem. I suspect the part(s) will be the minor cost of the repair.
