Question about Audio Players & Recorders
I HOPE I CAN EXPLAIN THIS OK YOU SEE I AM A CARPENTER AND DON''T KNOW A LOT ABOUT ELECTRONICS
I JUST PURCHASED A YAMAHA RX-V565 REVIEVER
I AM CONNECTING TO DIRECT TV THE YAMAHA HAS ONE HMDI JACK FOR THE MAIN SORCE AND FOUR TO CONNECT TO OTHER COMPONENTS
I WOULD THINK YOU WOULD HOOK THE DIRECT TV BOX TO THE ONE HDMI TO GIVE A SIGNAL TO THE OTHER 4 HDMI JACKS
BUT THIS DOSN'T WORK I HAVE TO CONNECT THE TV TO THE MAIN HDMI HOOK UP ON THE RECIEVER THEN GO TO FROM ONE OF THE OUT JACKS TO DIRECT TV IT WORKS BUT IS IT RIGHT

SOURCE: No sound at all
The jumpers are there to connect the preamp section to the power amp section and are required for the receiver to opperate properly. Make sure the receiver is set to the proper input, in this case: CD. If there are A/B speaker connections, be sure the receiver is set to match the connectors you're using. If there is still no sound, profesional service will be required.

Thats because if you look in the owner's manual, it declares the fact that it will only broadcast sound from hdmi to monitor not speakers. For sound out of speakers need to connect additional audio cable.

It sounds like you want to use the external amp rather than the internal one. If that is the case, just connect the output of the EQ to the input of the external amp. All you are doing is inserting the EQ between the amp stages now. Using the mx-1 rather than the internal amp is no different.
