Hi , seagate 1tb Expansion portable drive S/H: 2GHY01LD error in page operation plz help

Go to Start, right-click on My Computer icon and select Manage
When you go to manage, select Disk Management.
Click on Disk Management and you will notice all the disks (HDDs and any removable devices on your right column.

Click on the Seagate 1tb HDD,
(1) Note the file system
(2) Note the Status of the drive
(3) Note Fault Tolerance
(4) Then Notice the HDD if it is Basic or Dynamic

If the HDD is Basic, right click on it and create a partition.
Then move some of the Data on to the new partition to free up the old partition. Restart the computer and abserve the results...

That usually happens when the Hard Disk driver is running out of space or you have less RAM..

Asrock P4 combo faking death

Friend, Please check to see if the red line on the cable connecting the HDD and the combo etc is towards number 1 connecting pin both on the combo and on the HDD. If not so then correct it right away as you may burn the motherboard or the combo or the HDD. It is a red line on the outside of the cable connecting the HDD or the Combo to the IDE prot on the motherboard.

If your hdd is sata and you have an old mobo , windows xp (onlycvista will) will not recognize it. Integrate sata in xp (use nliteand goolgle how to) or use the flloopy disk to run sata driver

Troubling in sata connection

  • I suppose there is a jumper(beside the power pin) on your new HDD,
  • if its true the your HDD supports 3GB/s mode but your motherboard does not .
  • So place the jumper on the HDD on 1.5GB/s combination.
then
  • Disconnect the 80 GB,
  • Connect the new HDD,
  • Boot from any bootable xp or vista or any disk tool like erd commander and try to format the new HDD.
  • Then connect the new HDD and boot from it.
Tell me what happened.
