    Hello dear Tualiapz,

Thank you for your request about add.info concerning my LG monitorproblem in combination with my Acer Aspire One.

When I start up my Acer netbook funny enough the monitor is working excellent and I can see on it the same as on my Acer desktop screen. That is when Windows is starting up. As soon the start up is done and my Acer screen of the netbook shows my conf. of my desktop and screensettings my LG Flattron monitor L192WS shows the background photo of my choice and no more than that. It is also smaller than on my Acer netbookscreen.

I am not sure about the graphic card. I just have too small knowledge but I will give it a try. I think it is Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family. I hope I gave you the correct info and I also hope that you have a mind blowing solution. Thank you so far and I am looking forward to yourf advice. Best wishes and regards, Andre from the tropical rainforrest Island of Ko Chang....Thailand

First have you turned the port on for the monitor ? if not it usually is a function key like F2 ect. If this is done the right click on a free space on your desk top > then properties > settings tab ....and make sure you have two display checked in the drop box.

Sure you can with a standard VGA video cable.

Maybe you will have to change your screen resolution to get the best display layout.

Hope it helps!

I am trying to connect an acer netbook to an LG tv. All I get is a no signal response. What do I do?

ensure you switch on the exteral outlet of your laptop.
for acer i am told the following
right click the desktop and choose graphics options/external monitor. ensure this is set to external monitor.
if not look for a button on your keyboard that has a monitor square shape on it. then use the fn or function key together with this key to toggle thorough, notebook screen - notebook+monitor- monitor only.

2. ensure the source is set to on TV for the input for pc monitor connection. ensure and correct monitor cable is between the input connector on your tv and the monitor output of your laptop.

hope this helps

Hook netbook to tv with rca cables

after hooking it the TV we need to toogle to the external monitor.
Presentation or mirrored display mode
  1. Right-click an empty space on the desktop, and select Personalize .
  2. Select Display Settings
  3. When the New Display Detected dialog box appears, the images on both of the displays will be automatically mirrored.
  4. (Optional) To adjust the resolution, so that the display area of the monitors are the same size in the Display Settings window, select a monitor and slide the resolution slide bar. Click OK to save the setting and exit.
The computer is now ready to display the same screen on all output devices, from monitors to projectors. Press the fn and f4 function keys at the same time to switch the image from the notebook display, to the external monitor, or to both. Extending the desktop
  1. Right-click an empty space on the desktop, and select Personalize .
  2. Select Display Settings c01431951.jpg
  3. Select the monitor representing your second display. Click the Extend the desktop onto this monitor checkbox and click OK . NOTE: To help identify your monitors, click Identify Monitors . The numbers 1 or 2 are shown on the monitor icons to help you identify them.
  4. (Optional) To adjust the resolution, in the Display Settings window, select a monitor and slide the resolution slide bar. Click OK to save the setting and exit.
  5. (Optional) To change the direction the desktop will extend (left or right to match how the displays are physically set up), select a monitor and drag it to the desired position.

I am unable to add lg monitor to my notebook acer aspire one suggestions

How big is the monitor? Are you sure that your are activating the function to display on an external monitor? Usually you have to hold down the FN key along with another key. The other key is usually one of the F1 - F12 keys. Whatever the key is, it should have the icon of 2 displays or 2 computers on the key. If the monitor is too big it may not display on it. Aspire One's don't have alot of processing or video power.

I have connected my old dell laptop to this TV with VGA cable and audio cable and it worked with no problem. Have new Acer Aspire one netbook- connected to computer with same cables - can see windows...

First, you want to make sure the laptop's internal/external display mode is set properly. On Acer netbooks, this is usually changed by holding the "Fn" key, and pressing "F5". Either the TV or the computer display should flicker when you do this. There are 3 modes:

1 Computer only
2 TV Only
3 Computer and TV

If changing between thos emodes doens't work, continue on.

I am going to assume you are running Windows XP. Please correct me if I am wrong.

To display your desktop on an external monitor, you'll need to change/check some settings. Your netbook is most likely attempting to set it's display settings automatically, but it is expecting a computer display, not a television, so the resolutions and refresh rates are conflicting. That's why it will only display on one and not the other. Before Windows loads, the netbook is using a very low resolution,so it displays on the TV. Once Windows loads, it switches to some non-standard resolution that your TV cannot display and defaults back to your netbook screen.

The solution is to find a resolution that your television will display:

1.Right-click the desktop, and then click Properties.

2.In the DisplayProperties dialog box, click the Settings tab.

3.Click the Display list and select your external monitor (..the TV. It will most likely be display #2).

4.Select the Extend my Windows desktop onto this monitor option.

5.Select 640x480 in the "Screen Reolution" section for Display #2.

6.Click Apply or OK.

Note: If you see the background change on your television, mmove your mous there to make sure it's working. If it DOES work, go back to the "Screen resolution" section for Display #2 and find the highest resolution your television will display
