Re: don't know how to add anything
There are 2 ways to put content on your ipod. one is making playlists and syncing your ipod..you go to file on the top and create playlist. add songs to the playlist and sync the play list.
another way is to open you itunes with the ipod connected and on the left side you will see 3 sections in the light blue shaded area. the middle section represents you ipod and it's contants, click on music and the music folder will open in a large white window to the right of the blue shaded area. maximize your music folder on your computer so it is in front of itunes. drag and drop songs into the first column of the large white area. drag the song and hold it over the white area, when the border of the white area turns blue drop the song and it wil load onto your ipod. you can do multiple songs by hgilighting the first song pressing the shift key on your keyboard and highlight the last song in the set. left click and hold, drag and drop in the first column of the white area. make sure to watch for thr border to turn blue then drop the songs.

OS (operating system) of your ipod is corrupt for one reason or the
other. The ipod won't boot or start because the start-up file or
necessary files needed to boot up the ipod are corrupt.
solution to the problem is to re-installing the OS (operating system) of
the ipod by restoring the ipod. To achieve this, you will be needs a
USB cord for your ipod model and i-tunes installed on your computer.
Once you have i-tunes installed on your computer and a USB cord, then
the job will be done and your ipod will be back to normal again.
If you don't have i-tunes installed on your computer, go to www.apple.com Click
on i-tunes and download i-tunes for free, then install it on your
computer. After installing and downloading i-tunes, follow the below
Run the i-tune program on your computer Connect the USB to your I-pod Connect the other end to your computer Wait
a while for the computer to recognize and install the ipod, then read
and follow instructions on the i-tune. It will ask you to restore your
ipod. But if the i-tunes doesn't recognize the ipod via your PC,
press and hold the Power button and the home button for 5 to 10 seconds.
Leave the power button and keep pressing the home button or vice-ver-sa
till the restore option comes up. Click on restore and follow instructions thereafter.
After the whole restore process, your i-pod will be back to normal again.
Make sure you back up your ipod if the files on it are very important
to you. Start by syncing your iPod with your computer. When you do this,
the iPod management screen will appear. Midway down that screen there's
a button that reads "Restore."
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
You will need to download and install I-Tunes.... http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
After you have downloaded and installed I-tunes on your computer:
1...Start the I-tunes program...
2...Put music,Video,pictures,etc. on the I-tunes downloaded program
3...Plug in your ipod with I-tunes running, and it will recognize your ipod and then you can download the music, pictures, video, etc on to your ipod.

I just had this issue- I bought a movie off iTunes, and could view it on the computer, but it wouldn't go on to my iPod. I looked around and found instructions to open iTunes and on the home page of your iTunes where it shows you how much space you have, you can restore original settings, etc., if you click on "manage iTunes manually" or "manage music and videos manually" and then click apply you will be able to move your movie on to your iPod. In your iTunes library you just have to drag and drop the movie onto the iPod icon that appears in the left menu when your iPod connects to iTunes. It took about 10 minutes for mine to fully upload onto my iPod- so make sure you wait to disconnect until it tells you to. I hope this helps! What I read is that when managing the music and videos manually instead of it doing it automatically, you can move the videos and music as you'd like.
