Question about ButtKicker LFE Kit Subwoofer

1 Answer

No kick The kicker is not "kicking" and I can't figure out why. Thought it might be sw cable. Tried a new one and that didn't work. Tech support at Guitammer said green light on amp means it is getting power and a signal from line level input.'s green even when there is nothing connected to line level input. I've checked all connections, cables even sub out to regular subwoofer so I know there is a signal going out. Thinking the amp must be messed up but the green light has me wondering. Any ideas?

It can only be a few things...either it overheated and is in a protection mode...the amp went out... the input line is not supplying input...or the output line is not supplying output. If the input is good...the output that goes from the amp to the kicker itself may have came unplugged. If that is not the case, it may have overheated.

How to install kickstart case cover and gear assembly on 69 flh 4 speed ratchet top transmision

If all you want to do is install a the kick start case cover, drain the transmision fluid and just take the old one off along with the kicker lever intact. You'll need to look inside and see the relationship of the kicker gear stop and the kick starter lever. Then, once you see how it's supposed to look, ie. the kicker straight up and the kicker gear stop at the X o'clock positon, start taking the stuff apart. Transfer all the old parts to the new kicker cover. Align the kicker gear properly with the kicker lever. When you install the old shaft into the new cover, make sure you put a new seal in between the two bushings so it doesn't leak. Put the new cover with the rest of the kicker parts in it back on the transmission and refill the transmission with lube. 20-24 ounces.

If the clutch gear on the end of the mainshaft needs to be replaced, it's advisable to have the special puller to get it off with. If you don't have the puller, you can put some pressure on the clutch gear like you're trying to pry it off and rap on it with a hammer. Hit the side of the gear not the end of the shaft. Don't hit it hard enough to break anything, just a good tap should pop it off. If not, you'll have to find someone with a puller or buy one.

good Luck

Battery is most likely - they drain fairly quickly when sitting and the electric start will kill one in 15-20 failed starts. Pull it, put it on a charger overnight, put it back in and try it again. Does it start with the kicker (assuming you have one)?

Shes a ***** to start

Assuming the bike runs well and this is just a kicking technique problem.
push the kick starter slowly until you get to the hard spot(TDC), pull the decomp lever, and push the kicker a little to get past top dead centre, then release decomp and give it a decent kick, should never kick back

If this is a High Eff. Furnace, sounds like the pressure switch is holding furnace out. Check to make sure Intake vent is not plugged. Make sure
that the exhaust vent is not getting backpressure from
windy outdorr conditions.

49cc scooterwont kick star the kicker makes a grindin noise

You could take out the kicker to inspect for damage or wearing. The grinding noise could be due to oil level that's too low, or its recoil spring out. If you have the manual to guide, revove the kicker side-cover and inspect for any damage.
Take out the starter-motor and have it inspected at a fine parts/repair store.
