The only thing I can suggest for this is to take and unplug the charger from the laptop (not at the wall) and turn over the laptop and remove the battery. There should be one/two little plastic tabs near the battery that can be moved one way to release the battery. If there is two one generally is just a lock on and the other has a spring loaded tab to hold it in place.

My JVC 42inch TV died after a power outage. Replaced the power supply board. Now there is only faint clicking sound in the speakers. Any idea please?

It's not the outage that causes the issue, it is the power surge when it goes, often caused by a lightning strike of 100,000 volts, and also a surge when the power comes back on. If it took out one board, it took them all out, because they are all connected together.

Change all the boards, but I bet it still won't work. Claim to your electricity utility company or claim on house insurance.

Panasonic Home Theater System ....No power

Likely a power surge hit your house while away. This happens when power turns back on or lightning hits close to your house. If insured, call insurance company about it. You may be covered for replacement or have deductible applied. Small appliances like this are most susceptible to power surge. There is not enough protection designed in.. The best protection is surge module on main breaker panel or buy a protected power strip to protect high value electronics.

The power to our house was down for a few days today, and when it was reinstated, my mitsubishi units did not come back on. I flipped all of the breaker switches, etc. Is there a reset button or something...

Sounds like a power surge "killed" the circuit boards. Get a professional to check. If the power company was responsible, lodge an insurance claim and get them to pay for the cost to repair the units. A surge will damage electrical components

We had a power surge at my house and now the washer control panel does not work. The interior light works but that's it. Will I need to replace the control panel or is there a reset somewhere in the unit?

Here in New Zealand if that happens, I am often asked to provide a report stating that a Surge/Spike, had caused the damage, and the insurance Company will cover it? Can you do that? At least it will lessen costs, I charge for the report, but it's still a cheaper option if you can claim? Power Surges/Spikes usually totally wreck, the electronics... So replacement is only option... You may need a serviceman to check, and if OK write a report for your insurance?

Keeps blowing fuse

You will probably be replacing boards left and right with a surge. I would make a claim with the insurance company, it's covered under most home owner's insurance.

Electricity out

Sounds like a power surge. These can ruin delicate equipment. try this, Unplug laptop and remove battery for 30 minutes, Reinstall battery and plug in charger and try to start up. If it works, you're golden, if not prepare to submit an insurance claim on your homeowners policy.

Storm last night, now Wii won't power up

Unplug everything! There is a "breaker" in the power supply and it may need to be reset. Just unplug all cables from the TV and outlets. Let it sit for a couple hours then plug everything back in and it should work fine. If not then the power supply has shorted out due to a strong power surge. You can claim it under your home owners insurance or call Nintendo and try to get it replaced. Thanks! Good luck and happy gaming!!
