Question about Dual Car Audio & Video
I have a Dual XDMA7715 head unit. the dual motorized face-plates. have had it for about a year and it's been 2 days now when you hit the open or eject button they both go to slide down then seperate as normal but they dont, they slide down juss a tad to show the slot to insert a cd then both plates slide back up in the closed position where you cant see the display faceplate in the rear, all you can see is the control faceplate. what can i do to fix this? it's irritating and can't use cds

Detach the faceplate and look at the electrical contacts on the back of it for damage/dirt - you can spray it with electrical contact cleaner. Do the same to the contacts on the head unit - it sounds to me like one or more of them are a bit loose or otherwise not working properly.

I have the exact same problem. I called the tech line and the tech reported that the ribbon cable is probably broke. It is the flex cable between the head unit and the rotating face plate. He said it's not an expensive fix but we would need to mail it to a service center if you're like me and not near one. I just replaced mine with a new unit. It was about time anyways.

the red wire needs to go to a switced power source. unless both the red and yellow wires are getting power, the deck will not turn on.
