Brand new HP computer with Integrated Webcam Not working

no webcam how do i turn it on I can't get the webcam to work. I have set it up in both msn & yahoo messengers. nothing happens. The Cyberlink "youcam" software it came with doesn't even detect it? How do I get the webcam to work? I have set it up in both windows live messenger & yahoo messenger. Nothing happens. The Cyberlink "youcam" software it came with doesn't even detect it. Help please!

Do you have the USB cable connection from the monitor hooked up to your computer? If so, are your USB ports configured properly?
Your computer should alert you with an audible tone indication whenever you connect or disconnect the webcam USB cable. If it is not doing this, The webcam itself may be defective.
