Not frothing I have semi skimmed milk delivered to my door daily by the dairy. I have always used this milk with my aeroccino and had no problems at all. 1 week ago it stooped frothing the milk. I have tried using other milk from the local supermarket and have the same problem. The aeorccino has been cleaned scrupulously.

SOURCE: not making froth

Had the same problem, but called Nespresso. Their tech suggested the following: 1) always leave off the base - will stay on even if button not pressed 2) invert the Aerocinno for 24-48 hours to "reset" the thermostat in the device. I began leaving the base plugged in, but immediately after using and cleaning (don't get ANY water in the bottom of the machine!), I invert the Aeroccino and leave it that way. My machine began making great froth with any tyoe of milk, and continues to do so a month later -

Sounded crazy to me initially, but it works.....Never returned the device, and no need to do so now - Good luck!

SOURCE: aeroccino deosn't make froth

Our aeroccino worked fine for 2 years and suddenly it didn't made foam anymore. We tried the "inverting trick" without much success. We contacted Nespresso and they suggested switching from regular fresh milk (we used 2%) to UHT milk (harder to find in US) and to use it cold and freshly opened. So we tried that and it works.
Hope this solution works for you too

SOURCE: Nepresso aeroccino doesn't spin fast enough to froth the milk

The company will tell you to turn upside down for 24 hours to reset. I did this but it did not work. Try turning upside for aeroccino upside down for 24 hr. You do not need to do this to the base. They told me if this does not work, I need to buy a new one. I hope you have better luck. I am on my third one. you may be covered under warranty- call Nepresso soon..they cover them for about 1 year. Good luck

SOURCE: Aeroccino frother won't turn back on after we get some froth and still more milk in container.. takes a long time to be able to activate again.. using Almond milk could be the problem any suggeest

My Nespresso Aeroccino often would not heat or froth multiple times after one use. I called Nespresso, they have excellent customer service, and was told to rise the inside (careful not to get the outside button or electric elements wet) of the Aeroccino with cold water a few times and to retry. Works like a charm!
The customer service is the best I have encountered in a long while, give them a call, it will make your day they are so pleasant and helpful!

Have you changed the type of milk? Full fat is best but it should work with semi skimmed.
I hope I have been of help but please do not hesitate to ask if you have any further questions.

It froth's milk beautifully but won't do soy milk.

We bought a Nespresso Milk Frother in 2010 for $100. The frother is the same one that comes with the Citiz machine but is a stand alone model. It froths soy milk very well. The less soy you put in it, the more froth you get but even if we fill it to the max line we still get a reasonable amount of foam. We use Silk brand soy milk. I have no idea if foaming is impacted by atmospheric pressure but it may be a factor to consider if you are using all the same factors as us but not getting great results. We live at a higher elevation Calgary, Canada in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains.

Milk not frothing

It depends on the milk you use. I have this problem with certain brands of milk but with others, it froths very fluffy. I actually went as far as checking with a dairy and I was told it has something to do with the cow's performance on a particular day (slightly strange!) and the proportion of water mixed with full milk to make the semi-skimmed. For some bizarre reason, the supermarket own-brands milk work much better than the branded ones. I doubt there's anything wrong with your frother, just try a few different brands of milk until you find the right one!

My nespresso aeroccino machine seems either quirky or moody: sometimes it froths the milk, and other times it just kind of heats it up and stirs it, even though I'm pouring the right amount of milk in and...

THEY SAY MILK MATTERS. SKIM OR LOW FAT BEST. ALSO MAKE SURE IT IS CLEAN, WHEN YOU ARE CLEANING IT, REMOVE THE FROTHER, TO BE SURE MILK DOES NOT STUCK IM COIL, WHICH CAN MAKE THE FROTHER, NOT MOVE AS QUICKLY AROUND.

Aeroccino does not heat

Try descaling, if the element is covered with scale it wont produce enough heat and pressure.

The machine is Krups, and therefore should be covered with one year warranty. Call the number listed on the user manual, or find contact from websites below:
