Dryer runs for a few mins. then shuts off and turns on after a while

I see that you are stating your Frigidaire dryer will run for a few minutes and then shut down. It sounds like a potential problem with your control panel or wiring harness. Inside the back and the bottom of your dryer are several ( From 2 to 6 ) "overheat thermostat switches".
One of these is doing it's job really well.
These are designed to prevent your dryer from overheating and catching fire.
I suspect one of them is failing, and needs replacement.
Someone handy with electrical testing tools and mechanic's tools need to take it apart and check these to find the "bad" one.
While they have it all apart, it should need a really good cleaning inside.

Your dryer motor has a thermal overload built in to it. If your symptom is shutting down allow to cool and it works again for a few minutes the shuts down again.

This is a common problem that is not a good one. But the motor is goin bad. If you try to start it you will hear like a hum then start. Motor is going bad and over heating and shutting down on overload. Sorry. Hope this helps.

have you cleaned the filter, so dryers stop if the dryer filter needs to be cleaned, also when you pull it out, clean underneath the filter, down in the dryer, lint gets down in there after a while......it may help.....good luck.....

there is a thermal fuse inside the dryer it is a one time fuse also there is an ignitor that could be bad

Yes, this sounds like the motor cutting out on thermal lockout.

I have a KItchenAid Presitge Electric Dryer; Model #YKEYS677EQO. It just shut off. I tried resarting it but all I get is a humming noise. This humming noise only lasts for about a couple of seconds then I get nothing. The barrel can be turned manually.
