Dishwasher wont run after pressing START ... green light blinks

I tried several different things but can?t seem to get it going. When I press start a green light comes on and just blinks. I have tried several different wash types, etc, but it just doesn?t start. It obviously isn?t a power issue because the light comes on when I push the start button. The only thing I can think of is maybe it has something to do with the latch. A few months back I had a problem with it latching tight ? it seems to be sensitive. But if I remember correctly when it didn?t latch, the green power light would not come on. So, it may not be that. Also it seems to be latched tight when I try to turn it on. just wont start the washing light keep flashing .Anyone knows whats the meaning of the washing light flashing? thank for help
