Now it says no cartridge. Brand new with ink so its not empty. I took it out but there is no problem I check the ink cartridge levels everyone is full except black
Re: no cartridge the printer say. i put new cartridge in
It mean that the black cartridge is not recognised. It the black cart is original or compatible? Some printer won't recognise cartridge, if the black and colour is not same type. Try to install the black only. Is it recognised?

Please follow the steps below on how to install/replace ink cartridges on your model:
Make sure the All-In-One is on.
Lift the scanner unit until the scanner support keeps it open. The print cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position unless the All-In-One is busy.
Grasp the tabs on the cartridge lids, and then lift the lids.
Remove the old cartridges. Store them in an air-tight container or dispose of them.
If you are installing new cartridges, remove the stickers and transparent tape from the bottom of the cartridges.
Insert the new cartridges. Make sure the black print cartridge is secure in the right carrier and the color cartridge is secure in the left carrier, and then snap the lids closed.
Lift the scanner unit and push the scanner support back while lowering the scanner unit until it is completely closed.
Sometimes
the ink cartridge carrier won't automatically move to its loading position even
when the printer is on and the cover is open. Follow the steps below:
1.
Unplug the printer from the power source.
2.
With the cover open, hold the solid white strip that connects from the carrier
assembly to the ink cartridge carrier and gently slide the cartridge carrier to
the center of the printer.
There is nothing wrong with the black ink. Just run the head cleaning for better printing.
1. Go to printer and faxes 2. Right click your printer ( Epson Stylus Multifunction Printer/ Copier/ Scanner InkJet) 3. Click printing preferences 4. Click Maintenance Tab 5. Click Head Cleaning 6. Run head cleaning for 5 times then try printing.
Hi:
I have used the printer series that you have for years, and once in awhile, I get a new cartridge that won't immediately print. Often, there is just a bit of dried ink residue on the print head, and that won't allow the cartridge to work correctly.
Some simple things to try are :
1) Remove the black cartridge. and take a damp paper towel and gently swab the print head area. Next, apply some pressure to the sides of the black cartridge, until you see black ink oozing out of the print head. Repeat if needed. Once the ink starts flowing, blot off the excess, and install the cartridge.
If you can't get ink to flow, then the cartridge might be bad. Most of them have an expiration date on the packaging.
Hi there Error 50c This is for yours.
Regarding the Dell A940 "Error 50c"....the user guide doesn't seem to mention "Error 50c". They do, however, mention a "Cartridge Error" on page 52 of the manual. They claim this means that the printer has detected a short circuit (fuse/resister) in the cartridge. As you may or may not have noticed in the manual, this is what they recommend doing about it:
1) Press Power to turn the printer off.
2) Lift the printer cover/lid (scanner unit) until the scanner support holds it open.
3) Turn the printer on. The ink cartridge carrier moves and stops at the loading position unless the printer is busy.
4) Remove the color ink cartridge.
5) Lower the printer (scanner unit) until it is completely closed. If the error message displays again, replace the black cartridge with a new black cartridge.
If the error message does not display, repeat steps 1–3 and then go to step 6.
6) Reinstall the color cartridge and remove the black ink cartridge.
7) Lower the printer (scanner unit) until it is completely closed.
If the error message displays again, replace the color cartridge with a new color cartridge. If there is no error message (indicated by flashing lights), repeat steps 1–3 and then reinstall both ink cartridges. 8) Lower the printer (scanner unit) until it is completely closed.
If you get the error message again, while both cartridges are installed, replace both of the cartridges.
Basically, what they want you to determine is,....if the short circuit is with the "black ink" cartridge or the "color ink" cartridge and then replace the cartridge that has the problem.
You may have to buy a new cartrige. Please all I ask is call back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one, so I will keep on helping.
All The Best: Pineworks
With printer on and connected to computer do the following:
Open top cover. Fix top cover on open position, using the plastic sustain part located on the right side inside the printer. Wait for ink carriage for taking position in the middle of the printer rail. Open cartridge top cover. Pull cartridge toward yourself and snap it out. Do the same in reverse order to fit new cartridge.
Remember to remove cello tape strip from new cartridge nozzle.
I put a new magenta cartridge in the printer. It says to open the scanner cover, then reinstall ink cartridge. when i open the scanner cover nothing happens and i dont know how to install the ink.
If the message "NO CARTRIDGE" remains on the LCD
after you have installed the ink cartridges, then one or more of the
cartridges may not be properly installed. Verify that the cartridges
are installed correctly by following these steps:
Note
Cartridges
that have already been installed are no longer vacuum-sealed, so it is
very important that these cartridges remain upright. If a cartridge is
removed from the machine and placed on its side, air may be introduced
into the ink supply tubes. As a result, repeated cleaning will likely
be required before normal print quality is restored.
Unplug the machine from the AC power outlet, wait approximately 10 seconds and then plug it back in. If
the date and time appear on the display, the issue is resolved. If the
display continues to show NO CARTRIDGE, continues to Step 2.
Open the scanner cover by lifting it from the right-hand side until it locks securely into the open position.
Remove the black ink cartridge by pulling the white plastic
hook (locked over the edge of the ink cartridge) toward you, then
lifting the cartridge out.
The LCD should prompt you to install the black ink cartridge.
Reinstall the black cartridge. Press down FIRMLY on the top of
the cartridge until it is fully seated. Push the white plastic hook
towards the cartridge to verify it is fully latched over the
cartridge's top edge. Repeat STEPS 2 - 4 to verify each that of the
color cartridges (magenta, cyan and yellow) is installed properly, then
continue to STEP.
Close the scanner cover. The unit should begin cleaning automatically.
