Question about Braun Cruzer 3 Electric Shaver
I recently came across a Braun "Ultra Plaque Remover" Electric toothbrush handset (Timer Type: 4 713 Braun 922 NC - Accu) and a Braun "Plak Control Ultra" (Type: 4 713 Braun 145 NC - Accu) which have been redundant in a cupboard for years. They both get charged on base Type:4728.
I went to Boots & Superdrug to get replacement brushes / heads but none seem to fit as developments to handset and head have taken place since.Which brush head in your range (or Oral B) will still fit my handsets without having to replace that too?
I look forward to your prompt reply. PS there's not a remotely relevant product code below. Does that suggest the product is no longer manufactured??
You can certainly go to shaveroutlet.com and pay $9.99 per cell, or go to a place like onlybatteries.com and pay $3.69 per cell with a higher mAh (2200 vs. 1650, which means a longer run time).
Keep in mind that if you're not skilled at soldering, you'll have to buy the batteries plus circuit board. This will end up costing you nearly $40. In that case, you're probably better off going with a new shaver (get a new old stock 8000 series shaver for around $50 on average, at "that auction site"). :-)

You will need to replace the battery pack. Depending on when your shaver was made, it may have one of two different battery types. You will ned to look inside to see which you need before ordering.
To open, remove the two round screw covers on the bottom of the shaver. Remove screws to remove bottom of shaver. The outer case will then slide off the bottom. Push the trimmer up to be abl to take the circuit board out. BE CAREFUL not to detach trimmer oryou will not likely get it back on yourself.
Your battery(s) will be one of the two types below found at shaveroutlet.com
Be sure to read the Note on the second link concerning instalation
If you are unable to do this yourself, shaveroutlet.com can do the repair for you. See link below

I think I may have just found issue with the problem, and that is that the inside of the unit has got wet. I suggest taking the casing off of the tooth brush and let it completely dry out, then test the unit. Hopefully this will fix your problem
