Whenever you face such issue or less signals, you need to reset GPS.

The general procedure for reset is :-

  • Main Menu>Tap the next page button (right arrow)>Preferences
  • Tap the next page button>GPS Status
  • Tap Reset GPS
In case, if the problem still persists, it's a hardware issue. Contact Navman.

Thanks for using "Fixya".

Do rate the solution as "Fixya" if 100% satisfied.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

How do get map updates for navman s100

Go to the navman website download the latest version of the updater software (if its not done already) and check the maps section as it will automatically update as much as it can but you can always buy newer map versions with more features.

I reset my F series, now it tells me

unfortunately, per C-Net's review page at "" there may not be any software available as that these units are now "obsolete". but there does not seem to be any "free" software at all.

hold it! just found the software page from the company at "" for this unit. could not find a "direct" link to the download, but you may have better luck.

it would seem that there are drivers in windows for this ( according to what I saw on the site)

on some further searching, it seems that there is a sd card in the side that may be loose, check that out, too!

My Navman S100, Model N214, has a loose power connection at its base (one too many shoves into the glove compartment). I need to open it up to see if I can solder it, but after the 2 small screws, I'm...

To open the unit there are 4 screws, 2 are on the base. There are also 2 on the back at the top that are hidden by rubber plugs. Remove the plugs using a small flat screwdriver. Once the screws are all removed use a small screwdriver or butterknife to slide down the side and the back should pop off.
I have the same problem with mine, but the USB connector seems to go straight to a board, so don't know if can be tightened, soldered or otherwise repaired.

My navman f15 will not recieve signal anywhere

the reason your device does not receive any signal is because the baud rate and com port might be wrong. go to settings and fing GPS port, after entering choose auto choice so it can take the suitable gps port and baud rate

It's not unusual to lose signal indoors , in fact most portable /car devices receive very little, if any, signal indoors.

I have a Navman ICN510 running TomTom 6.0 software , instead of the standard Navcar CE program. I believe it connects much faster.

Below is a support forum for modding Navman GPS units.
It will teach you how to change the software on your navman & also help with any other problems. It was very helpfull to me !!

Navman icn510 gps reciever problem

How long are you waiting and are you moving while it is trying to acquire signal? These receivers are using older circuitry that may take up to 20 minutes to first acquire a signal from a cold start. If you are moving it may take longer!!! The good news is that after you have initially acquired a location, if you turn the unit off it will only take a minute or so to reacquire after it has "warmed" up.

NAVMAN GPS Card problems

It is not easy to say what the problem can be. In my opinion you should contact the producer of this GPS receiver and ask them what the problem is. If this has been tested the producer must be able to help the users.
