Question about Mitsubishi WD-52525 52" Rear Projection HDTV
I have a Mitsubishi WD52525 and the lamp indicator turned red. I ordered a new lamp from Mitsubishi and was able to easily install it. I received the same result with the lamp indicator. I was able to see the old and new lamp turn on for a few seconds before going black before the indicator turned red. I sent the new lamp back to Mitsubishi and received my money back as it is supposedly defective. I'm wondering if I should try 1 more lamp or just consider the TV dead as I do not want to spend over $200 to fix a TV. Thanks for any assistance tv was fine last night came home today and red light was on--error code 41 short ? what does that mean? How do you fix?
I just fixed the same problem and it needed 3 capacitors on the power supply circuit board. Two of them were 3300uF 10V. All 3 capacitors were bulged out on the top and measure defective. After replacing them the TV worked fine.

A 41 error code for a short is usually caused by the power PWB. The power board will need to be replaced
