We moved Kitchen Aid Superba refrig. to garage plugged it in and it cooled just fine but the heating strips to prevent door condensation were so hot it would burn your hand and was causing rubber around door to smell. WE turned it off and tried again but the same thing happened. I'm thinking something happened in transport down the stairs. They did have to take the doors off. Thanks
MG,
During the move a hand truck got into the condenser fan and shut it down. Pull the fridge out and remove that cardboard cover in the back. On the left you'll see the compressor, on the right is the condenser fan. Make sure that there is nothing blocking the fan blade from rotating (I bet there is). Don't forget to replace the cardboard! It's crucial to the operation of you fridge.
After clearing the fan, plug it back in and you have your old fridge back! Cool, Huh?
Show me some love and rate this solution, will ya? Thanks!
