Not sure if this is valid for this site, but thought would try.
I have a AT&T Tilt Smart Phone with Windows Mobile 6.
I am starting a computer repair business, and in the payment
proccess would like to scan a customer's drivers license or id
card. I have seen scanners for hooking to a laptop, but would
hate to have to run the laptop when taking the payment. This
wouldn't be a problem when at home, but when at a customer
house I'd like to just be able to hook a scanner to the usb port
on my smart phone and make the scan from it to transfer when
I got home.
Does anyone know if any of these or of a product that would
work on a smart phone?
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. goodluck!

If reinstalling the drivers doesn't work. Try manually adding the device.
1. Start>Control Panel
2. Under Hardware and Sound click, Add a device
3. From there you should see your Printer/scanner. Go thru the prompts and it should be able to find and install the drivers from manufacturer site
Hi Good day!!! The way it works for me (different HP all-in-ones, earlier photo smart) is I start Photo Smart, then (once it's loaded), I press the Scan button, and it scans (or brings up a scan menu on the little LCD on the scanner where I tell it to scan).
If this is what you're trying and it doesn't work, you might not have installed the software correctly. The scanner drivers are very picky about when you plug in the scanner to the computer during installation -- if you plug it in before the install program says to do it, the scanner won't work (though the printer will).
The thing to do in this case is (1) unplug the USB cable from the back of the computer, (2) go to control panel->add/remove programs, and remove the scanner drivers, (3) shut down and restart the computer (very important), and (4) put the HP CD into the computer and reinstall the scanner, only connecting the cable to the computer when the program tells you to do it.
about yr pro.u can try to key in yr phone imei(open yr phone back cover, take out battery,u will see a list no in 15 digit.start by 35xxxxxxxxxxxxx) no in the blank they ask for.
then mayb after key in,will show another group no.
That is yr license no.
Good Luck :)
You it is necessary to make sure in correct joining the printer and
computer. If you use the long cable USB change him(it) on short and
advisable he must be thic. Change the driver of the scanner, this
separate program and is fixed after driver of the printer. Advisable
использывать checked cord of the join with the other printing device.
Take the driver for your OS with site of the producer HP.If you is not
got, apply to service. Good luck!
