The problem might be in two things. either the ram or a system file might have been deleted by virus attack.the solution is try your friend's ram in your computer. if it works then go for replacing the ram. but if the problem persists, them reboot your system by using the boot cd.thanks for using fixya!. please dont forget to rate my solution!

Quick Tip: How to correctly shut your computer down

This may seem like a simple tip, it is, however it can cause many unneeded problems to your computer if you do not shut it down properly. Do Not shut down your computer by pressing the power button. Whether you have a PC or a laptop, don't use the button. When you go to shut your computer down go to start and shut down and it will shut off. If you do not do this correctly it doesn;t give your computer the proper amount of time to shut down, you can corrupt your Windows files and eventually have problems even booting your computer up. Simple solution that will avoid future problems! Hope this helps!

MY COMPUTER WANT START UP IT TRYS

The power supply unit is probably bad. (PSU) They can either turn on and turn off, turn on and when you start to draw power they shut off or not turn on. I'm guessing you need a new one, check to see if you have a warranty on the PC. If your sure the lights turn off and not just the monitor goes out.

Hp dx2200 computer won't power off

If your HP computer refuses to power down, this means that there are still programs open that Windows can't close. Normally when you select the "Shut Down" button from your "Start" menu, Windows closes all open programs, then closes itself, and your basic input/output system (BIOS) turns off all of your hardware. If Windows can't close all open programs, your computer won't be able to power off. This means that you must close these programs yourself.

Right-click on the window of an open program on your Windows taskbar (Bottom of Screen) Click "Close Window." Windows manually closes the program. If a window appears on-screen indicating that Windows cannot get the program to close, click the "Force Close" button in this window to have Windows force the program to shut down. Repeat "Step 1" for any additional programs that are open on your computer. Click "Start." Click "Shut Down." Hope this helps.

When i power my moniter it shuts itself off in ten second by itself

Either your computer is sending a signal it doesn't support (too high resolution or refresh rate), or the monitor has power issues. Try starting the computer and going into the setup screen. If the monitor stays on, it's a resolution/refresh issue in the OS. If it doesn't stay on, it'll be cheaper to get a new monitor.
