Could be the motor. I imagine it is just the fuse.

Err4

ERR 4 in a Kitchenaid coffee maker indicates a button is stuck in place. Please be sure to check all of your buttons and see if any are stuck depressed into the machine.

If this is not the case, I would suggest contacting Kitchenaid Customer Service to see what other options may be available.

Their toll-free telephone number is 1-800-541-6390.

Cannot get "beeping" to stop

Try the following if you opened the cover and unit beeps. This will happen if you set up the coffee maker and then decide that you want to add more water and coffee before starting it:

You will notice that there is a small white (typically) button on the clear cover of the coffee grinder. When it is in place and the lid is closed, the button depresses a safety interlock inside a small plastic post to prevent the grinder from working without the clear cover on and the lid closed. Quite sensible from a safety perspective. Depress the white button to reset the switch or take a pen and carefully do the same. The beeping should stop.

Noise

The top of the unit that covers the coffee beans has a plastic point that must depress a button on the main body of the unit when it closes to show the unit that the lid is closed properly. If this is broken (as was mine) I inserted the end of a piece of tooth pick replacing the plastic point in the lid and this now depresses the recessed button on the main unit. The beeper goes off and the on light comes on.

Coffee pot

ERR 4 simply indicates that the computer is recognizing a stuck button (a button have been depressed for more than 10 seconds time). Please double check to make sure that no buttons are still depressed into the machine.

10 cup cuisnart stainless steel & black coffee maker

The beep indicates numerous things. If the top lid is open, it will beep, if you try to depress the brew or timer buttons. There is a button next to the grinder unit, that gets depressed when you close the lid. Check the lid to make sure the tab on the lid hasn't broken. The beep also indicates that brew cycle has finished, although, that is supposed to be only 5 beeps.

Coffee maker beeping

Is your grinder in and the lid down? My coffee maker (grind & brew) started beeping after I cleaned it and turned the left knob clockwise with the grinder still disassembled. There's a little button that is depressed when you close the lid with the grinder in there (I'd guess it's a safety feature). I pressed down that button, and the beeping went away.
