Either the pump is not working or the discharge hose is clogged, if you have an air gap on the sink take the hose off and hold it down see if the water comes out by tself if so the pump is bad if not the drain is colgged take out the bottom tray you will need a 1/4 inch nut driver take the plastic screen cover plate off clear it of debris, there is a sharp metal blade in there so be careful, after cleaning it out turn on to rinse and see if it drains if not you will need to either replace the dishwasher or the pump, dollar for dollar new dishwasher time

    We had a similar problem with the dishwasher getting stuck in the wash cycle and even though there was water in there, the problem was that it was just taking too long to fill up with water.

    I got a repairman to come out and fix it, he replaced the solenoid (which regulates the dishwasher drain valve apparently), but today I had the same problem, (though it was earlier in the cycle, before the powder is released into the water) and fixed it by checking the tap that lets the water into the dishwasher. I found that it had been bumped around and simply turning it on more fixed my problem today.

My delay light has come on and I cant get the dishwasher to start. The delay light goes out after the time has expired but if you try to move it to the start position the light comes on again

The Control is programmed to stop running and not allow any further cycles if it detects a water heating problem (no temperature increase detected in heated Main Wash on 3 consecutive cycles). The Control will flash the Clean LED 7 times repeatedly and will disable the Start/Resume key until cleared.

To clear and reset the control press in this order: Heated Dry ? Normal ? Heated Dry ? Normal and then let the unit run for 1-2 minutes and then press Cancel and let the dishwasher complete the cancel cycle. The dishwasher should operate normally again unless it does not detect a temperature rise in the main wash cycle.

It could be caused by a Heater circuit problem if it continues to stop and flash the Clean light.

It could have one of the following failures:
Open in heater.
Open connection or component in heater circuit.
Faulty heater drive circuit on control.
It can also be caused by the wash pump not pumping water past the heater efficiently.

My indesit idl has stopped working. The red light comes on but none of the green setting lights come on - any ideas

Led 1= Prewash / 3hr
Led 2= Wash / 6hr
Led 3= Rinses / 9 hr
Led 4= Drying / 12hr

LED. illuminated
1 = Overflow ( water in base )
tip machine back. does water come out? if so you have a leak, possibly from bottom spray arm nut or loose salt pot. see if they are loose. if not, remove the base, put dishwasher on a block of wood, shine torch underneath to see where the leak is.

1+2 = Pump timeout, or Software recognition error ( timer not programmed, wrong keypad)

1+3 = Circulation pump not working

2+3 = Not filling

2+4 = Heating circuit not working

2 = Solenoid valve 'broken'

3 = Thermistor (NTC) cicuit not working

4 = Temp not reached whilst heating ( poss NTC detached from casing).

remove door panel. ntc is attatched to the rear of dispenser, a little white thing with 2 black wires on it. refit to the clip on the dispenser.

It is usually necessary to 'reset' the machine after a fault code has been displayed. Resetting.
Switch dishwasher OFF, rotate the selector switch to STOP/CHANGE and switch on, after a few seconds the LEDS will go out enabling a new programme to be selected

Hi my hoover 6612 dishwasher does its pre-wash but then when the light for wash comes on it does nothing. I wondered if it might be a capacitor which needed replacing but I can't find one - any ideas??

Check the float switch inside the tub, it should move freely up and down.

Check the harness to the motor

Check start capacitor on the left side of the wash motor
