If you have the slim design with a gray faceplate there are a couple of different ways they open. The first thing I would do is look on the back and see if there are three screws .. one along the top about the middle of the computer then along each side on the outer edge also centered. If you have those, unscrew all three and slide the cover to the front. Another version has two buttons, one on each side near the front. You may have to work the cover back and forth a little as you push the buttons, but you will feel when they depress. While holding them in, slide the cover toward the front. The third design has the front faceplate pop off and there is a screw along the top in the center. Again the cover slides to the front.

In that case I suggest there is a processing fault on *********** board. You could try re-seating the uProcessor in its socket.

CPU FAN SPEED IN HP Compaq d530 Small Form Factor Desktop PC

The fan/heat sink on these models get plugged with dust very easily, use an air compressor or can of air to blow the dust out of the heat sink and fan. In extreme cases the thermal paste gets dried out and needs to be re-applied to properly cool the processor.

Replacing power source

I removed the cover, drives, motherboard, and the back plate and then the power supply just slide out the back of the case.
