Question about HP Computers & Internet

Open Question

Recovery manager stopped after reboot.

I have an hp TX1320us, and I want to bring it to original factory conditions. The recovery manager gave me options and brought my laptop to reboot, then it stopped right there. Only the blue background color (not blue screen of system crash) of recovery manager, but the window of the recovery manager never showed up. I waited for hours for the window, but it didn't. I have to switch off the power and restart it. I also tried F11 and a recovery disc, they gave me the same thing, the blue background, and stopped there. I don't know what to do right now. I can fix the wireless problem with a USB one, but this one is really making me mad.

What is the command prompt in the HP Pavilion a6037c Vista recovery partition that allow me to type the command to recover to the factory settings.

You can access the HP Recovery Manager software using the "F11" command during the boot-up process. The Recovery Manager is a preinstalled utility that can help you resolve issues on your computer system that affect its proper function, such as viruses, system errors or hardware corruption. Restore your computer only as a last resort, since all the files stored on the hard drive will be lost during the process. The restore process can also be helpful in wiping the computer clean before passing it along to another user.

Restart the computer. Press the "F11" key when the "BIOS" messages appear during the start-up process to open the "HP Recovery Manager." This step must be completed before Windows has a chance to load. Click "System Recovery" and click the "Next" button. Click "No" in the Microsoft Restore window that appears and click "Next." Click "Next" in the "System Recovery" window to initiate the restore process. The hard drives will be reformatted and the computer's software returned to the factory settings. Click "Finish" to restart the computer with the original operating condition in place.

How do you reset this laptop back to factory settings

The HP Recovery Manager application, installed on the hard drive of HP Notebook PCs, can be used to recover the computer to its original operating condition, and can create a set of personalized Recovery discs. In the event of a system failure, you can use either the Recovery Manager or the Recovery discs to re-install your notebook's original operating system and software. Figure 1: Recovery Manager Optionsc02645341.png Depending on when the model was released, the Recovery Manager installed on your notebook was developed by either SoftThink or CyberLink, or by an HP team. The screens may be slightly different, and there may be up to three very different types of recovery options available for your model.
