Question about Fuji FinePix S5000 Digital Camera

Image failure The imaging function of a 3 year old S5000 has failed. All the other functions and displays are OK including zoom. The imaging has faded to a brownish jagged jerking display. PC connection display is the same.

    Picture is all grain, no images. However, if you reveiw other pictures taken 2 months ago on the chip, they look great. Our camera is probably 3 years old and went out the 13th of October. Can you fix this or should send this in?

Caused by faulty CCD sensor ( see image bellow ) , but Fuji repairs  this fault free of charge because it is manufacturing fault, so I suggest you contact them.Image failure - f825a63.jpg

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free worldwide, and may also include free shipping both ways (free shipping varies with countries). This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.
