I'm trying to expose the control panel. I have the skin off and can't seem to take down the metal cover to expose the control panel so I can replace it.

Replace igniter on hotpoint gas oven

REMEMBER TO UNPLUG YOU UNIT> The oven igniter is located under a metal plate. Remove the oven door so that you can slide out the flat cover to expose this plate. There are four screws holding down the plate. Once you remove this plate the igniter will be exposed. Hint: The screws holding the igniter in place are difficult to loosen if you dont have the correct socket for it. Once you do remove the two screws holding the igniter, pull the igniter until the connector plug comes out and replace it.

The Broiler igniter is easier to access. Remove one screw from the plate covering the gas manifold. Then loosen the one towards the front. Pivot this metal cover ccw to get it out of the way and using a socket, remove the two screws holding down the igniter and pull it out until the connector is exposed. Install in reverse order.

We've owned this miscrowave for about 8 years. just recently, every time we've tried to use it pops and flashes light. It seems to be coming from the panel on the right

you may have exposed metal in the microwave so it arcs. You will need to cover the exposed metal with ceramic paint. Just sand the area down so its smooth, then apply ceramic paint. that should solve your problem.

Theres a small buzzing sound, kinda like a mini fan in the area of the over head lights near the sun roof. how do i get rid of that? it's driving me crazy... thanks

that little fan would be your in car temp sensor aspirator motor. Try taking a deep breathe and blowing through the little grill on the overhead control panel. There might be a small piece of debris in there causing the noise. If that don't help then you can pull the panel down by popping off the light covers and pulling down on the two small metal tabs that are exposed. once you pop the panel down you can unplug the square type connector to stop the fan motor from spinning.

the cold control is located right behind the knob for the ref temp. the easiest way to diagnose the t-stat is to give it a good rap when the unit feels warm if it starts order and replace the cold control. drop down the control panel, the cold control has the long metal tube with the plastic cover, make sure to put it back in the same position when replacing, and transfer the white plastic cover to the new one.

To remove the interior door panel of a 1996 Toyota camry so that

My 96 Camry LE has 9 attachments that are visible. Some have plastic caps covering the screws; others do not. There are screws at the door handle, at the forward portion(with covers) when the door is open and the back edge (small covers). As I recall, there are several friction type fasteners around the perimiter of the panel that can be removed by prying carefully away from the metal portion of the door to free up the trim panel. Once these are loose, the trim around the inside door release handle (the one you pull to open the door) can be pryed in a backward motion. Then the entire panel can be removed by pulling upward and backward at the same time (it easier to do this with the window down). Then it is a matter of disconnecting the wires attached to the various controls for the electric windows and door locks to free up the panel itself. There is probably a plastic skin covering the metal portion of the door. Carefully pull that away to expose the inner workings of the door latch mechanisim. The rest of the procedure should become easy to figure out. I have not removed the exterior door handle itself; but it is a simple mechanism as I recall. Best of luck to you.

How do i change light bulb for my oven

Here is a simpler method from the same website mentioned in solution #1:
1) Turn off power to the unit
2) Open the lower oven door
3) Remove the side trim screws and pull the trims down and out.
4) Remove 2 screws on the sides of the control panel.
5) Open the Microwave door. Remove the 3 screws on the Air Vent Plastic Cover on top of the microwave. You can then remove the Air Vent Cover by pushing the control panel up and pull out slightly at the bottom.
6) Remove the 4 screws on the Air Vent Plastic Cover on top of the lower oven and remove the Air Vent Cover. (You may have to remove the left under side bracket of the Microwave door temporarily just for the Air Vent Cover to clear the screw of the bracket. Re-secure the side bracket of the Microwave door panel as the front panel may fall)
7) Remove the 2 screws which held the Microwave unit in place behind the Air Vent Cover on step 6.
8) Wiggle the Microwave unit out about half way to expose the light bulb unit on top center
9) Wiring to the Control Panel will prevent you from pulling the Microwave unit out any further. And you don't want to do that as the unit may fall. Space is cramped, but working carefully with pliers you should be able to release the springs which held down the light bulb unit and change the bulb.

By the way, the bulb is Osram 64405S. It's available online for about $2.00 plus shipping.

Advantium zsc2001fss no power no lights

I have same unit...power outage made unit come back on and it then requested user to set the clock, but the display shows the hours but won't accept the pushputton to lock it in. I had to look at the control panel today to see how hard it would be to replace.

To take off the front vent panel: first take microwave out of the built-in space, disconnecting the power cord. Then the top outer metal skin can be unscrewed and removed, which exposes the screws that hold in the front top vent and the control panel in place.
