If you go to the Samsung website, click on support along the top of their page. From there you can get your phone configured. They will send the correct mms and wap settings to your mobile. You have to enter your network provider and your mobile phone number and model. When you receive their settings in a message, you simply save them to your phone.

You can usually get the settings from your service provider. Go to your provider's webite, look in the Support category, and you should see something about setting up MMS and WAP. If not, you can search for it or call customer support. They may say you need one of thier branded phones, but that's not necessarily true. As long as your provider lists your phone under MMS/WAP settings, you'll be fine.

The SIM card being transfered from one phone to another should not be causing this problem.  When they sent the configuration to your phone, there wasn't a prompt on your phone to save these settings?  That's when you would've put in the 1234 code.  What is your service provider?  That may help me help you.

Sending pic messages

you can go to your messages, select settings, select mms and configure your mobile phones multimedia profiles. once configure, try sending a photo on your own mobile number (creating an mms and sending it your own phone) once you received the mms, your phone is ready to send and received. you may want to configure the rest of the settings for mms for your own liking.

My son tried to send me a photo of our grandaughter to my mobile but when i try to view it it comes up with a message unknown subsciber have a samsung d900

Hi, and welcome to FixYa!

I've been doing some research on your problem of not being able to receive MMS messages (pictures) on your phone. There are a couple of reasons why you may not be able to. I'll list them in order:

1) Your cellular provider may not have MMS activated for your phone. Contact your provider and ask if MMS is enabled on your line.
a) If they tell you, no - it is not currently enabled, then ask them to enable it for you.
b) If they tell you, yes - it is currently enabled, ask to speak to someone in Tech Support. Inform Tech Support that you are not receiving MMS messages but instead, an 'Unknown Subscriber' message although you have MMS currently activated on your line. Most Tech Support Departments can send a 'packet' to your phone that you will simply click on when you receive it - and download it on your phone. That should solve the problem.

There is one more problem I discovered. If the picture you are sent is too large for your phone's screen to display you might also receive this, 'Unknown Subscriber' message.

Regardless, your first call should be to your cellular provider to ask assistance with your MMS settings.

I hope this information will help you.

I cannot receive or send picture messages with samsung d600

You will need to contact your network (eg o2, orange etc) and ask them to send you the mms setting for your phone. They send this in the form of a text message and then you should either have to save the settings or it will work straight away. Further directions will be sent with the text if needed. You could even try on your networks website if you can't phone them at the mo. Good luck and anymore help, just ask :)

My D600 won't receive picture messages...

There can be a few reasons for the problem you are experiencing. What I would suggest you do is this:

Reset the wap and mms settings via your service provider. You do this by phoning them from the phone and telling them you want to reset these settings. They will send you a message with this and you merely save the NEW settings.

Hope this helps, let me know if it doesn't

Unable to send picture messages or connecty to the internet

to connect to the internet & to send & receive pic messages you must activate the GPRS first from your network provider ...The best thing you can do is to contact the customer care of your network provider and ask for the GPRS settings ...
they will tell you the procedure to activate it ....
they will tell the number to which the message to be sent to recieve the settings ....
so note that down and then follow the procedures told by them ...
to send and receive the MMS you must activate the GPRS first make sure of the charges with them there will be many plans & then get activated ...
after this you will able to send and receive the pic messages ...
