Question about Canon imageRUNNER 5000 Copier
I have the canon copier ir5000i that has a problem while starting up.The problem is the copier just like hang when it shows the LOADING's message.I've call the tech to fix it but they told me it was the DC Controller mainboard hardware failure and must replaced with a new one. Please give ur advice about this. If it should be replaced, how much the cost should I prepare ? Or can I test it with the ir6000's DC Controller mainboard coz I have that copier too. Thanks, Yance
Are you getting a error code on the display screen???? Is the code a E0601-001? If so the problem may not be the DC controler. The company you called either have No idea what the code means or they are setting you up for a big bill.... 9 out of 10 times the solution is that the Hard Drive has crashed and it needs to be replaced..... The IR-6000 hard drive will work in the IR-5000 just as long as they are bother using the print funcation or they are bother not using the print funcation.... Good Luck
