SOURCE: Loud grinding noise when spinning

Just so you know, in the first place, (NEVER PLACE A WASHING MACHINE IN ANY POSITION BUT UPRIGHT. That's just asking for a leaking gearcase (transmission)! Your best bet is to call a technician. It sounds more like stress on the drivetrain from the water weight! The only way to tell would be to pull the case off to observe the tub as the water fills to see if the tub is indeed pusing downward!

I was given a kenmore quei pack 2 washing machine.

The filter on your pump is probably clogged with lint and stuff. You have to remove the bottom front panel, 3 torx screws underneath. The panel will drop and come off. Drain off the excess water from the hose you see. The white filter cover is right in front. Get yourself a bunch of towels or a good big plastic bag to collect water. Unscrew the filter cover and twist the filter out. Clean out all the stuff and put it back in carefully.

Next: You can use Affresh to clean your front loader. Deposits of soap and other such things can be stuck around the inside tub of your washer. Try this product, it works great on all front loaders. Use hot water with the Affresh pellet with no clothes and run the machine through a cycle. Also helps with any stagnant water smells. Have you cleaned out your pump lately. Put the pellet inside the machine, not in the soap dispenser.
Pl give me a good rating for the free help, thanks.

Dryer get scorching hot immediately. The blower side is cool and we have removed all the lint from the dryer. Any ideas?

you need to clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into, vac out the inside of dryer where the motor is and if the vent line is long i use a leaf blower to blow out the line.if the filter is on top, unplug the dryer first before you touch it,pull out the filter and remove the two phillips screws in front of it,then remove the vent line and take off the back panel.on the left side you'll see the duct that the filter slides into, remove the 4 screws that hold in on and remove it and clean it out,go outside and make sure the vent is clear,if there's a cage or a screen on it remove it and throw it away, blow out the vent line, next pop the top panel up with a screw driver, there are 2 clips one on each side that holds the top to the front panel around 2 inches from each side in the front, put the screw driver in between the panels and pop it up,on the right side there's a wire harness, pull it apart,it's easier to stick a screw driver in the holder to separate the harness, then there are 2 5/16 inch screws one on each side around 3 inches down from the top, remove them and pull up on the front panel and remove it,vac out the inside of dryer,if you have a shop vac blow all the lint off of the motor and you can blow all the lint and dust forwards so you don't have to remove the drum, some people have trouble putting the belt back on when the drum's removed.do this once a year and you won't have any fires and you won't pop any thermostats or thermal fuses in the dryer.let me know how you make out.one guy wrote back and said he had a birds nest in the vent line and the leaf blower cleaned it all out

Hi...I have a Kenmore Gas Dryer (110.74642400)...I had a repair man come to fix and replaced the thermal fuse...however, it is not working again. It worked for about 3 weeks after he replaced it...at that...

if he changed the thermal fuse he should have cleaned out the dryer and vent line for you because it's just gonna pop again and again until the dryer gets cleaned out.you need to unplug the dryer, pull it out and remove the vent line and the back panel,on the left side there's a duct that the lint filter slides into, pull out the filter and remove the two phillips screws in front of the filter on the top panel,go in the back and take out the four screws that hold the duct in place, remove it and clean it out,vac out any lint in the back of dryer, put the duct back on.to the left of the duct and around four inches up you'll see a white thermal fuse part number 3392519,pull one of the wires off and check it with a meter,if it's bad change it out.next,if the vent line is long i use a leaf blower to blow out the line, you could have a birds nest in there or the lint just could have built up,make sure the outside vent is open with nothing blocking it,any screens or cages remove them all they do is catch lint.put the back panel on and the cleaned out vent line and put it back into place, don't put back the two phillips screws yet, next with a screw driver pop the top panel up,stick the screw driver in between the front and top panel around two inches in from the sides of dryer and pop up the top, next remove the two 5/16 inch screws one on each side of front panel and unplug the wiring harness in the top right side, you might have to stick a small screw driver in between the plastic to separate the plug, then pull up on both sides of front panel to remove it and vac out the inside of dryer.put it back together and you should have no more problems, let me know how you make out

HOW TO CLEAN THE DUCT BECUASE A TISSUE GOT STRUCK IN IT

if the filter is on top, unplug the dryer, pull out the lint filter and remove the two phillips screws in front of the filter on the top panel.pull out the dryer and remove the vent line and the back panel of the dryer.on the left side you'll see the duct that the lint filter slides into, there are four screws holding it on plus the two phillips screws you already removed,it might be easier to pop the top of dryer so you can lift the duct up to remove it,with a screw driver pop the top panel up by sticking the screw driver into the space between the front and top panel around two inches from each side, this is how you get inside the dryer, use the screw driver to separate the door switch plug and remove the two 5/16 inch screws one on each side of inside front panel, pull up on left then right side of panel and you can remove the front panel to vac out the inside of dryer, now remove and clean out the duct, next if your vent line is a long run from the dryer to the outside i use a leaf blower to blow out the line, you should do this once a year so you don't have a fire and the dryer will run like it should, your clothes will dry on time

Kenmore Model 110.68422700; the dryer cycles all the settings

when was the last time you cleaned out the dryer?you should clean the dryer once a year anyway so try this, unplug the dryer, remove the lint filter, take out the 2 phillips screws in front of the filter on the top panel.pull out the dryer, remove the vent line from the back of dryer and remove the back panel.on the left side you'll see the duct that the filter slides down into, take out the 4 screws that hold it in and remove it and clean it out,vac off the back of dryer,if you have a shop vac put it on blow and blow out the blower wheel and the heater and blow out the duct to get it clean.if the vent line is long i use a leaf blower to blow out the vent line,go outside first and make sure the duct outside is not blocked with any lint or anything and make sure the flapper opens freely.put it back together, except for the 2 phillips screws on top, with a screw driver pop up the top panel, there are 2 clips on each side that locks the top panel to the frame, just stick the screw driver in between the front panel and the top panel and pop it up,you'll see 2 5/16 screws one on each side around 4 inches down from the top on the inside, remove them and disconnect the door switch harness, use a screw driver to stick in between the harness to pull it apart to make it easier to get it apart, pull up on the front panel one side at a time and remove the front panel, vac out the inside of dryer, blow off the motor and blow all the lint from the back to the front so you don't have to pull the drum,if you know how to reinstall the belt take out the drum, the timer moves when the heat shuts down but if the dryer is loaded with lint the heater will not run correctly because of bad air movement and the clothes won't dry so try this first and let me know what happens

How to open front of kenmore dryer to clean out lint

next time send model number, unplug the dryer,if the filter is on top remove the filter and the two phillips screws in front of the filter on the top cover,go to the front and with a screw driver pop the top up,there is a clip one on each side around two inches from each side just pop up the top,use the screw driver and slide it in between the plastic piece of the wire connector and pull apart the door switch harness on the right side,it's hard to just pull it apart, now you'll find a 5/16 inch screw one on each side around 4 inches from the top, take them out and pull the front panel up one side at a time, vac out the front of dryer,if you have a shop vac blow off the motor, alot of lint gets stuck in the motor, put that back together but don't put back the 2 screws on top,now slide out the dryer, remove the vent line and take off the back panel,on the left side you'll see the duct that the filter slides into, take out the 4 screws that hold it in and remove it and clean it out,put it back together,if the vent line is a long run from the dryer to the outside vent i use a leaf blower to blow out the vent line, check the outside to make sure nothing is blocking that, stick your hand in there or a brush and clean out the opening if it needs it.
if the filter is on the inside, remove the bottom panel, remove the lint filter, take off the duct that the filter slides into and clean it out,if you have a shop vac blow all the lint from the back forward so you don't have to remove the drum to clean it,again blow out the vent line if it's a long run.do this once a year so you don't have a fire and the dryer will run like it should and parts will last longer, good luck

Hello, i'va a kenmore gas drier model 75818,the problem is that it does not heat up at all, have checked the ignitor and momentarely glows but after loud clicking sound it turns off,any ideas?,thanks, ray.

next time send the full model number, starts with 110. or similar,i would change out the gas coils located on top of gas valve, do one at a time and look for a metal spacer that needs to stay on post, sometime it slides off when you remove the coil, only on one of the coils, also if you haven't cleaned out the dryer it would be a good idea to do so, unplug dryer,if lint filter is on top remove the filter and the two screws in front of filter, remove the vent line if it's a long run blow it out with a leaf blower or shop vac but leaf blower works better, take off back wall and take out the four screws that hold the duct in that the filter slides into, clean out the duct, put it back together except for the two screws on top,now pop the top and remove the front panel and vac out the inside,if you have a shop vac blow out the dryer motor and all,if filter is inside remove the bottom panel take out the lint filter and remove the duct the filter slides into and clean it out,if you have a shop vac blow the lint from the back to the front so you don't have to pull the drum, blow out the vent line, you should do this once a year you have an open flame in there and you don't need a fire, your dryer will run better and last longer

I have a whirlpool dryer with the lint screen on top. I believe something fell into the bottom where the screen should go... now the screen will not go in all the way. I wouldn't mind taking the thing...

FIRST, DISCONNECT THE ELECTRICITY. Remove the screws around the opening. Next, release the top. Insert a putty knife along the opening between the top and front, about 2" from bith sides. Just push it in and it will release the catches. Next, take the back off the machine. remove the screws to the heat chamber near the bottom. Remove the exhaust hose. Reach inside and chech and also use a bent coat hanger to clean out the tracks where the filter slides in. That should take care of your problem. (After you put it back together).

How to remove the front panel of whirlpool dryer to change out door switch

FIRST UNPLUG IT!!!!! remove the lint screen remove the screws there, if no screws, still proceed take a flat screw driver on the crack of the lid in front of machine pry on both sides of it will pop up, then it will lift like a car hood, might be able to reach it from there, if not there's two screws (under the hood) then the front will come off, the drum will fall its ok, just have to put in place when you put it back together when in place hold front with knee and put screws back in (under the hood), pop cover back down and put screws back in where lint trap is, clean lint trap and reinsall. fire the puppy up

F10 FAULT CODE

F10 means that the pressure switch (water level switch) is not sensing the correct water level.
This can be for one of several reasons.
Firstly ,clean filter, if no filter at front behind bottom panel ,then remove lower rear panel, remove large black hose from bottom of tub, remove and clean filter inside..
Detach pressure switch hose attached to plastic chamber which comes from large black hose, this is a small plastic hose, blow down it , and you should hear the switch click if you listen carefully.
If you cannot hear it click, then switch is probably faulty, follow hose to switch.
Make sure the plastic chamber is not blocked where the hose is attached at bottom end.

Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.
