Question about Kenmore 22422 Top Load Washer
MY 80 SERIES JUST FILLS UP AND WASHES BUT DOES NOT SPIN OR RINSES. sOMEONE TOLD ME IT COULD BE THE CAPACITOR OR THE LID SWITCH. HOW CAN I CHECK EITHER? CAN I JUMP THE LID SWITCH TO SEE IF THAT IS THE PROBLEM. WOULD THE CAPACITOR HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THIS PROBLEM? THANKS FRANKC
It wont be the capacitor or the motor wouldnt work on the wash cycle. It could be the lid switch, & yes you could bypass the switch to prove if it is open circuit, you may even find a burned out wire to the switch. TURN THE POWER OFF FIRST THOUGH!!
