US cable connector plug does not fit in our TV purchased in Europe

We bought an tv in Switzerland and have moved back to the US. We would like to hook it to our US cable system but the tv's cable line connector (and annenta hook up) is not consistent with the US cable pug. Do we need to buy an adoptor to connect our TV to our US cable or is there a different problem?

You need a converter that you can easily find at stores.

Bought an Hdmi cable, but the TV s service connector place-- the Hdmi cable does not fit. is there a particular pc to tv cable connector that I need with Model #37LC30S60, for the TV.

Does the TV have a input that says DVI?

If so they make a cable that goes from HDMI to DVI

More specifically what are you trying to hook up?

I am hooked up via VGA and have the lime green cable hooked up to my tv and the back of my computer but still no sound.

It sounds like you plugged into the TV headphone jack. Unplug it on the TV end so you do not damage anything.

You need to get a mini-DIN to RCA stereo connector. It will have a connector that fits your PC on one end in the lime green audio jack(mini-DIN), and the other end will have two RCA connectors- one white (left) and one red (right) that plug into AUDIO IN on your set. Make sure you follow your TV manual or menu as to making sure the right audio input is used with VGA, and it should work correctly.

I had just bought an old sanyo tv, it didnt come with the av connections, but when i seem to hook the vcr or the cable to the port in the back its not giving nothing but static..even on channels 3 and 4

hi, have someone watch the tv while you wiggle that connector around in the back while its hooked up to the vcr or cable is plugged in and channel on 3 or 4 see if you get any luck, use a little pressure to move the connector. This is a common problem. It will probably need to have the connector resoldered to the board.

How do you hook up regular coax cable to the TV?

You simply need an "F" connector to "Belling-Lee" converter. about $4.00. At any Radio Shack, Antenna shop. This screw onto the end of the existing antenna connection & makes it so you can plug it into the Socket at back of set.
I have included a link that has a picture.

Connect magnavox dvd to ge tv HELP!

You need to go get an RF modulator. They can be purchased at Radio Shack or a number of other electronic shoppes for a reasonable price.

The RF modulator connects to the coax cable connector and it has inputs for the RCA connectors.

Cheers ... Best wishes

DVD won't play movies in color

RCA cable connectors (red, white, yellow) are usually for an analog setup. You could still use these for "component" setup, but know the difference with color stamps as follows:

Component color stamps are "blue, green, red" ( blue is marked Pb, green is marked Y, red is marked Pr)

RCA color stamps your using are "red, white, yellow"

Here are the proper hook up method for "Component" using your "RCA" connectors:

On both the TV and DVD component setup:

Plug the red RCA fitting in the component port marked "Pr (red)

Plug the white RCA fitting in the component port marked "Pb (blue)

Plug the yellow RCA fitting in the component port marked "Y (green)

Be sure this setup is the same for the TV's component input ports, and the DVD's component output ports.

i-Note:

For optimum picture quality you may want to purchase component cables as the gage is thicker giving better impedance match resulting in better picture and sound quality.

TV is hooked up to cable, but only blue screen and a/v appear.

Okay...you have a place on your remote which says input or tv/vcr or something like that. You may also have an input menu. You've got to find that. Right now, you're set on one or more of the component (a/v) inputs your set has. You've got to move that back to the tv input. If you are using a cable input or antenna input...these use one connector with a screw on fitting on it.

If you have a tv that does not have cable input...antenna cable, you'll need a balun adapter. Available at any electronics store. If you're trying to input rca style plugs...not every tv has this...especially if more than 10 years old.
