I bought a WRT110 last week. The firmware did not work. I am returning it today. Is the WRT400 pretty easy to install?

Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

How can I boost the signal of my AT&T 2WIRE router/modem?

You can increase the range of your router but you need to purchase another wireless switch. What you have to do is buy a wireless switch and grab a computer network cord and plug it into your 2wire modem. I would advise just turning your the 2wire's wireless off. If the new router isn't strong enough you can buy directional antenna's or larger antenna's which should help with the range issue.

Unfortunately you can't purchase an antenna that you can directly attach to the 2wire.

Make sure that the switch you buy has external antennas that you can change out. If not and the range isn't strong enough then it could cause more headaches down the road.

Signal is not strong enough to connect laptop downstairs away from Linksys 2.4 ghz wireless router in my home network. I have ethernet downstairs, can I attach another wireless router, as well as my PC to...

Looking at the specs for that Linksys router, it is a "G" size router. Most "G" routers only have an average indoor range of 150 ft. and that also depends on what type of construction materials are in the home that could hinder that range and the signal. Another router attached would only degrade the signal even more, that is not recommended. A stronger ranged router would probably be a better solution, possibly an "N" or "N+". Hope that helps.

What is the signal distance for this wifi product?

Hello,

Well, I have no idea which router you are using, but most wireless routers will send a signal 300-400 feet. Walls, trees and other obstructions may decrease this range. There are amplifiers you can buy to send the signal further, but environmental conditions may prevent this from being an option.

Please let me know if you need any more info, as I am well versed in wireless.

Hope this helps!

Regards,

Joe

How do i conet to all my game cosoles

You need to purchase some "Ethernet Cords", these come in different categories of quality, ranging in price. Because of your router I would recommend that you purchase Category 5E also known as Cat 5E.
Before you purchase this cable though, you want to measure out how long you need each cable, to ensure you purchase enough to get the job done, and as well as allowing slack in the cable for instance if you want to hide the cables in the ceiling to make it look nicer, allow about 5 ft more then you think it will need. You can purchase Category 5E cables online here.
Another possible solution for you to connect to all of your game consoles would be purchasing separate wireless adapters per device, but that method isn't as cost friendly. For instance, the wireless adapter for the Xbox 360 is $99.99 from Microsoft here.

If this did not solve your problem, please leave a comment and I'll get back to it as soon as I can =)

If all you're looking for is wireless internet within your home, then you can simply buy a wireless router off the shelf from Best Buy. However, a wireless router will only provide a range of a couple hundred feet, perhaps a couple of hundred yards. Essentially, it only provides internet access at a single fixed location. I'm getting the impression you're looking for something more.

If you're looking to have internet access wherever you go, no matter how far from home, you're going to need a subscription to wireless internet from a cellular provider such as AT&T or Sprint. They sell both internet access as well as the cards used to connect to the network, so check out their websites to explore your options.
