Question about LG 42PC3D 42 in. Plasma Television
The tv goes on and off sometimes a few times in a row and sometimes it takes a little longer. Any suggestions - we checked with our cable company and they checked out connections and gave us a new cable box. Assume it is the TV. Any suggestions. My TV tries to turn on, but it just shuts off. I tries again and again. the only way i can get it to turn on is by turning it off and on using the power strip. this started after our power company had a black out a few months ago. Is there a part that can be changed to correct this?
You will need to replace the mainboard, you only need to be sure your cable box is connected to the TV using ONLY one cable because if you use HDMI and another cable (ie. HDMI and COMPONENT) could show that sympton.
First try unpluggin everything from the TV and try to turn it on, if you continue with the trouble then you can be sure you need to replace the mainboard.
