Hi,

It's advisable to use only 'ONE' firewall at a time. If you try to use multiple firewall at a same time, it would affect your outbound connections as well as inbound traffic.

Note - Advisable to disable your windows firewall, if you want to use Zonealarm or Avg firewall.

Any further help, let me know.

Thanks for using Fixya.

Webroot is an Internet security company based out of Colorado.
The company, founded in 1997, offers Internet security programs for businesses and home users.
The Webroot Internet Security Essentials and Webroot Internet Security Complete programs include a firewall that's designed to monitor incoming data and filter out potentially unsafe data.
Consequently, Webroot does not recommend that you disable the firewall.
Nevertheless, if you want to use a different firewall or if the firewall is blocking legitimate data, disable it with a few clicks.

Launch the Webroot program.
Click "Edit Settings" under "PC Security" in the "Home" panel.
The PC Security panel opens.
Click the "Firewall" tab.
Check the circle next to "Allow All Traffic." The Webroot Firewall is now disabled.

My dell laptop needs firewall

Dell now ships all computers ordered through Home and Home Office with software firewalls installed and enabled.

If you have an older Dell PC that did not originally come with a firewall program and you have not already added a separate firewall program to your PC, you will need to purchase a firewall product.

If you are using Windows XP operating system, you can use its built-in firewall called Internet Connection Firewall or Windows Firewall.

If you need any kind of technical assistance to install firewall ,you can contact support cell at http://www.vtechsquad.com/

How to edit configuration .ini file to stop avg turning firewall off

If your avg is AVG Anti-Virus plus Firewall Edition, then you should not be running Windows Firewall as running two firewalls can cause conflicts and for sure adds an unnecessary extra load on your PC. This also applies for trying to run two anti-virus products together. Besides the extra load, the conflict can bring the PC to a crawl.

I can't turn on windows firewall. respons message: windows cant running ics service

The Windows Firewall Service not started.
Now to fix:
1. Click Start > Run > Type services.msc
2. Scroll down to Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)
3. Double click it.
4. Change startup type to Automatic and Click Start.
5. Click Apply and then OK
6. Reboot.

To reset the Windows Firewall to the factory default state, try this:
Type firewall.cpl in Start, Run dialog.
Click the Advanced tab.
Click the Restore Defaults button.
Click Yes to continue when you see this dialog
Restoring the default settings will delete all settings of Windows Firewall that you have made since Windows was installed. This may cause some programs to stop working.

Alternately, you can use the NETSH command-line to accomplish this:
Open a Command Prompt window and type NETSH FIREWALL RESET
This command resets firewall configuration to default. This provides the same functionality as the Restore Defaults button in the Windows Firewall interface.

Can't connect firewall

Have you checked the subnet? i.e. 255.255.225.248, make sure both PC and firewall are set the same.

Check the firewall settings on the PC, for port 80, 8080 & 443 and the ip address of the unit if you connecting with web access.

Try to up the IP on the PC to 169.254.236.185, it some times does not like being before the device.

Aslo, some times the PC needs to have the network port reset, as windows keeps the old IP address, but shows the new. The quick way to check this, is to disable the network connection and then enable it again.
