Re: On copier sow display bord "Swith main power off and...
That error code means that there is something wrong with the fixing unit... Try to get into service mode by pressing: The "add. Fun." "*" then the numbers "2" & "8" at the same time then press the "Add. Funt" botton again... The display should change. Press the Funcation on the top of the display, then press the "CLR", then "ERR" then the "OK" in the bottom coner of the display.. Turn the MAin power switch OFF on the right side of the copier, then backk ON. If the problem is not resolved you most likely have more problems with the fixing unit.. Good Luck..

Title : E001 Error Code That is Not Resetable Error : paper jam When the machine powers
up the E001 error code is displayed but cannot be reset. (Note: The reset
procedure for an E001 code is COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR) Workaround
: In this case, the Main Power Supply PCB Assembly was replaced. The machine
was powered up and the E001 code was able to be reset. The part number for the
Main Power Supply Assembly is FM2-0260-000. Remember, if the fixing unit
circuitry has an open or a short, the code may not reset. Be sure to confirm
the fixing unit wiring and try resetting the code before replacing the Main
Power Supply Assembly. Canon USA, Inc. Systems & Technical Support
E051 - Horizontal registration sensor problems E001 - Fixing temperature faulty E805 - The Fan rotation problems
It can be that You have problems with DC contoller ( main pcb ) or the copier is in worst condition and there are faults on every segment.
For E001, you can try to reset error:
1. The following error codes cannot be reset by merely turning off and then on the main power. They require resetting in service mode: E000, E001, E002, E003, E004, E032, E717 1) Start service mode, and select COPIER>FUNCTION>CLEAR>ERR. 2) Press the OK key. 3) Turn off and then on the main power. 2. Error codes other than the above may be reset by turning off and then on the main power. n Detail Code Some error codes offer detail codes, which may be checked in service mode: COPIER>DISPLAY>ERR (3rd block from the right)
BUT I THINK THAT THE BEST SOLUTION IS TO CALL SERVICE TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM OR YOU BUY NEW MACHINE:..
The main thermistor TH1 has poor contact or open circuit. The thermal switch TP1 has an open circuit. The fixing heater has an open circuit. The SSR is faulty or the DC controller PCB.After the main power switch is turned ON the temperature detected by the main thermistor does not reach 70 C.The error must be reset in service mode :COPIER - FUNCTION - CLEAR - ERR
This error code due to your machine gear had broken this gear can change by only technician because it in very critical area if you open full machine then you can do for change that gear you have to open machine from its manual feed stack bypass door. firstly remove upper body cover then open from front cover then open front body cover remove drum segment remove toner segment then remove pick up segment then remove upper segment of pick up that was very critical if break something or fit loose something your machine will be not work under that segment you will see one toothy plastic plate which moves with one small gear, that gear you have to change. That its
there is one more swith to off the machine.the switch which you are using is only for make the machine into energy saver mode.in that mode machine will be warmed up to take the printouts from computer.
