Question about Toshiba SD-R6372 (SDR6372S) DVD±RW Burner
Massa : my laptop suddenly stopped recognizing CDs and DVDs. I have never been able to find a driver online to download. I have been thru deleting upper and lower registries, Now a repair shop tells me the motherboard driver connnectons may be the problem, because all indications are the hardware itself is OK. Device manager reports a corrupted or missing driver code 39.
They must have meant motherboard drive connector. s the connector that the drive attaches to. Which the connector itself should not need drivers. It should not be the connector either, especially since the error coming back is software, not hardware.
Before they try to sell you a new motheboard.
