Question about Televison & Video
Hi, That is quite difficult to understand without testing.
First you need to perform a coarse adjustment procedure. A Distorsion at the top and bottom of the raster may significate that you need to do geometry adjustment.
You can follow procedure on service manual.
If you performed the adjustment and the problem persists, then he hourglass top and bottom is effectively horizontal deflection problem.
Test the HV out transistor, that should be Q5A02 (was this you where talking about?), effectively if you do not find anything else that would be worth replacing as a last resource.
The fyback and deflection yoke can be part of the problem test them thoroughly.
Do the adjustment procedure first, following the service manual
I assume that you have the complete service manual, I uploaded a copy here, just in case.
