Question about American Anko AVB Force Feedback Pegasus (GC-FBJ1) Joystick
When I try to install the joystick, it is found by the hardware installer. The drivers will not load off the CD. I get an error saying they are refused by Windows. I am installing an AVB GC-FBJ1 Force Feedback 12 button joystick, USB connection, on Windows XP - Pro SP3. This joystick also has a serial interface available. I have an Anko AVB FF Pegasus joystick with both USB and Serial connectors. When I loaded the joystick and CD rom the ccomputer detected the joystick and said it was found and running but when I tried to activate it in control panel/game controllers. the driver would not activate. I have tried many things and none seem to help. If anyone knows where I can get the proper driver or what to do about this problem aside from blowing up the joystick, I would really appreciate it. Thank You. Ashley

Isn't this joystick about 10 years old? If so, the CD provided could be overwriting important OS files with older versions. If you can't update the drivers via control panel, I would call/email them for updated software or a fix.

Tips for a great answer:
Power on the Bluetooth Hardware you want to connect to the computer. You must have some sort of hardware to connect to the computer, in order to enable the Bluetooth connection.
Click "Add" and the computer searches for any Bluetooth hardware in the area. Once it detects the hardware, select it and click "Next."
Type in the passkey for the Bluetooth hardware (found in the device's user manual) and click "Next."
Install any drivers now that came with the Bluetooth hardware. (Insert the driver installation CD that comes with the Bluetooth hardware, wait for the the installation wizard to load onto the screen, accept the license agreement, then click "Next" for the installation name and location and select "Install" to install the drivers.)
Choose "Locate and install driver software" if there are provided drivers. If not, click "Don't show this message again for this device" and click "OK."
hope this helps
