try to remove copy glass, and manually slide scanner into left position, turn off and on.

If not, probably scanner home position sensor faulty or flat cable of scanner.

press MENU and #, with cursors go to clear, press ok, select err or all and ok.

Yes it will works on all IR models! I try it many times for all my customer here in Saudi Arabia and it works all the time!
