I had this error code as well. Here's the solution that ended up working for me:
  1. Eject the disc tray and remove any disc from the console.
  2. Important: Do not close the disc tray. Leave it open.
  3. With the disc tray open, remove the power cord from the back of the console.
  4. Gently push the disc tray about half-way back into the console.
  5. Plug the power cord back into the console.
  6. Push the power button on the console. The tray should close the rest of the way, then the console should restart and display the Xbox Dashboard.
  7. Important Do not use the controller or the disc eject button to turn on the console.
  8. Try updating your console software again.
What this does is put the DVD drive into Mode-B, which is an alternate operating state that allows the drive's physical memory banks to be flashed with new firmware. Because the latest XBL update involves flashing the drive with new firmware, you may need to physically put the drive in Mode-B. The latest update flashes the drive to make it compatible with Microsoft's new high-capacity disc format, XGD3, which will be used sometime in the future.

Our wee disc is caught in the machine and we are unable to eject it any ideas how?

If both the eject button on the Wii and the eject option from the Wii menu are not functioning than the gears of the the disc drive are broken. Your only option from this point is to send the Wii into Nintendo for service. Sorry for the bad news.

I hope the info listed above has helped in some way.
If possible please rate this solution.

Will not eject disk

Hi,

Is your eject button broken? Does it click when you punch it, or goes in like the button on the board is broken?

It is either this or there is something jammed inside your system.

Video: How to open Wii Console

Check inside your drive and remove anything stuck in there causing the drive to not function correctly when ejecting.

Hope I helped!

Take care

Game disc not ejecting

The problem may be that you have something caught between the disk drive and the rest of the system,if you can unlodge the piece of **** clogging up your system it might eject properly.Hope it helped

I drop my nintendo wii console, and later I tried to eject the disc, but it didn't work. I could only play the game that's inside the wii.

I've seen many people with this same problem.

I think if you drop the Wii, the disc ejecter breaks or something. Then you can't eject the disc or vice versa because the ejecter is broken. Call Nintendo Customer Service (1-800-255-3700 in the USA or Canada) and try to get it repaired.

Cd drive won't pull disc into console

Do you have a warranty? If you do, go to the place where you got it and have them check the inside. You may have a broken gear. That could be why it does not take in the disc or eject it. =D
