You can't select CPU setting. it is detected and non-changeable.

BIOS is set base on what you set the motherboard to detect, i.e: memories, PCI cards,..... and all of the external device you are going to connect.

Unless the manufacturer specifically asks that you make changes to your BIOS, you are OFF LIMITS, so HANDS OFF. If what you refer to is the "setup", you may open it and make whatever particular changes you need. Remember that as a rule setup changes are applied automatically, usually by F10. If you make a mistake you can return to the factory settings usually by F7. These keys are not always the same, but when you open the setup you will see them.NOW ANOTHER SUBJECT: To increase the transmission and reception speed, computer circuit designers have resorted to four wires for send/receive. In BINARY ARITHMETIC you only have a switch and it can be on or off (0/1). This means that Binary leands itself to computer that are made of millions of switches and all of them can be on or off (0/1). Someone began to refer to the powers of 2 as bits. By the time personal computers came around they were using 4 wires to simultaneously send/receive, known as 2 to the 4th power or 8 bits. There are not too many such computers left in service. When the demand for speed increased they went to 16 and then 32, which for many years was sort of a standard. I believe that about 5 years ago they decided to go to 64 bit technology. Now the manufacturers are trying to convince the users that 32 bit is old and obsolete and we should get rid of our computers and get new ones with 64 bit. But our computers with 32 bit are beautiful and perform quite fast and we are in a recesion, people don't have the money... So, for the time being, they make their programs in both 32 and 64 bitts. Are we ever to need 64 bit? Who knows. This industry is of high obsolence... Let me know what decisions you made...

No bootable device -- please restart system

THIS IS A BIOS CONFIGURATION ISSUE. WHEN YOU RESTART THE 'PUTER, HIT F2 OR F12 TO ENTER SYSTEM CONFIGURATION. THEN FIND THE MENU ITEM FOR HARD DRIVES AND MAKE SURE THEY ARE RECOGNIZED / PRESENT ON THIS BIOS CONFIG. SCREEN. SET THE HD TO PRIMARY. SAVE/QUIT AND RESTART. THIS IS A STARTING POINT FOR FURTHER DIAGNOSIS. YOU MAY HAVE TO 'DBAN' THE DRIVE.

Hi Trifon,
you are detecting a known problem for 32 bit operating systems.
The problem for those system is that they can manage maximum 3 Gb of RAM.
If you want all of your RAM used you have to install a 64 bit operating system. Windows 7 has also a version for 64 bit as well as windows xp (but is not good supported) and windows vista.
