C2557: Abnormally low toner density detected black TCR sensor.
Detailed Error code explained below.
* Open and close the front toner door.
* Restart the machine by turning off the LCD screen power switch, then by the main body switch located behind the access panel above tray 1 indicator light.
* Call Konica to get a tech out.
C2557 Abnormally low toner
density detected black
• When sampling data is determined in TC
ratio calculation control, TCR sensor output
is higher than a predetermined value for a
predetermined number of times in a row
even though there is toner in the sub hopper.
C-2557 Abnormally low toner density detected black TCR sensor. The TC ratio in the developing machine wich is determined by toner replenishing amount control mechanism is 5% or less for a given number of times consecutively. Relevant electrical parts:imaging unit K,toner supply motor C/K ,mechanical control board or MFP control board. Perform image troubleshooting procedure if image density is low. Clean the TCR sensor window on the underside of the imaging unit if dirty. Check the toner supply motor operation. Remove and reinstall imaging unit K. or change the imaging unit. Last solution turn ON the copier open the front door ,enter in service mode, select sistem1 or 2 ,select IuU Unit, select Unit K ,select new release press start and after job is completed close the front door, turn OFF the power, wait 2 minutes and turn ON.
You will most likely need a service technician. This error code indicates an ATDC (Automatic Toner Density Control) sensor failure. This means that the machine is seeing either an undertoned (not enough toner) or an overtoned (too much toner) condition within the imaging unit. This usually requires possible sensor replacement, or most likely a starter (developer) change and recalibration.
This can be caused if you have run the machine low on toner or possible used the wrong toner in the machine.
You can reset by opening then closing the front door on the machine or turning the machine off then on again but most likely the code will return.
Yes, open and close front door. And or power off both power switches. Wait ten seconds then turn it on again. The code is for the black image unit lack of toner. Check the image unit, and ensure toner is installed. Model type? would also be welcome
