Question about HP Photosmart C5180 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I have a HP Photosmart c5280 all in one printer, scanner and copier. I have been having problems with the printer spooler not running and shutting down. I have uninstalled the printer and reinstalled. My system is Vista and the printer at one time use to work before downloading one of HP recommended updates awhile back. My print services are set at LPD and LPR. When I reinstalled the printer I am getting a popup asking for a HPPhotosmart Essential disk, which I do not have. I will then next get a message stating I need a valid copy of the installation package 'HPPhotosmartEssential.msi' Also popup for trayapp.msi.
Best solution is to download the latest AIO software package from the HP site and install with that. Just make sure you get the right package (32-bit or 64-bit).
