Re: JVC AV-36260 Is there a fuse in this TV or is it a...

All modern TV's have fuse devices, some glass, some chemical.

However,a blown fuse comes from a short circuit, which I'm sure

you are well aware.Let's talk diagnosis--What is your set doing

or not doing?? Is it dead?==No "on"?? If there is no bad fuse, the

most common solution is a bad capacitor in the power circuitry

number sequence==900's. Ex..C953    value== 1000mf/35v.

Other caps in power supply may be weak.

2) Check Horiz output transistor---shorted? Look for blown B+

fuse + weak or open C523 1mf/160v in horiz drive circuit.Replace

horiz out with high-quality OEM transistor only.I use JVC only

on 32" size & bigger ( you have 36" ).

Let me know by rating this solution...thanks...T.

TV look like the red goes on and on. blurry. tried adjusting color but does not seem much better

Check the video output section circuit for any loose solder terminals. This section can be located at the neck of the picture tube. It will be plugged on to it. A rectangular printed circuit board, have some components soldered on it. Check the solder terminals of these components for any loose contact. Take a special care to 'Red' output section. It will be best to resolder all the suspected solder terminals by applying a little more fresh solder, without making any solder bridge short in between adjecent solder terminals. The on light is blinking but there is no picture or sound.

I have the same problem with my JVC AV27750, the problem is probably the power supply relay circuit, just check and replace the 1000uf capacitor

JVC AV-36260 TV Problem TV won't turn on

I have over 10 years experience in electronic tech support.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but the problem you've described can't be fixed with troubleshooting. Your TV will have to be repaired. There is a part that has developed a defect and needs to be replaced. The blinking red light is like an error message that indicates to a service tech what's going on with the set. If you're still in warranty, the TV will be repaired at no charge to you. The warranty would likely be at least one year from the date of purchase from the manufacturer. If you purchased an extended service plan they will repair the TV at no charge as well.

If the TV is no longer in warranty, it will likely cost a minimum of $150 parts and labor. This is assuming that you only need a power supply module. If the problem is more than one of the circuit boards, the price of repair could go much higher.

I hope I've provided you useful assistance and that this information allows you to make an informed decision as to how to proceed from here. Please be sure to vote on my response. I hope I've earned a good rating from you today.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

JVC projection screen with blowen fuse

You have to check the reason , why the fuse blew. It is something else that made the first fuse blow. The fuse has nothing to do with picture after the TV starts up.
