First, I would try canceling the document either at the printer (hit cancel if it has already been sent) or at the computer.

You can do this by going to start -> settings -> printers and faxes
double click on the printer to open it
right click on the offending file and hit delete

It sounds like both of these have been done already. So...next option.

Second option - Restart the print spooler
Go to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services
Click on the "Print Spooler"
Select Restart

Third option - delete the document from the spooler
Stop the Print Spooler by following the instructions above and clicking "stop"
Delete all files in the c:\windows\system32\spool\printers directory
Restart the print spooler.

CAUTION!!! - This will clear out both the offending job and any other jobs that have been sent to the printer after the offending job. If you have a number of other jobs, you may wish to clear out only the offending job from the printers directory.

Hope this helps - flub

Click on Start, then right-click on Computer (Vista) or My Computer (XP) and select Manage from the context menu. Expand Services and Applications and click on Services. In the right-hand window, right-click on Print Spooler and select Stop. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Windows\system32\spool\printers/ Open the folder for the printer in question and delete all of the files from this directory. Go back to the Service Manager and Start the Print Spooler again.

You should now be able to print.
