Power goes off after 30 secs - LG 42LP1D 42 in. LCD HDTV

Sounds like a surge to me. Why not give Vizo call to see if anyone else is reporting the same problems. It's a fantastic tv.

It sounds like you already have battery problems. The unit functions until it exhausts what power it has and then blanks to reserve power for saved information. Contact the manufacturer.

You could have a bad lamp, a bad power supply, or a bad temperature sensor. These range from 250-300 dollars to get repaired through a repair shop, or you can at least try replacing the lamp yourself with internet prices being substantially lower.

Check the tv "LAMP" LED light indication is it flashing or staying on?Yes,than it is the bulb.

unlock with key and hold key over for 30 secs(windows may go down)then lock with key and hold over for 30 secs(windows may go up)then press remote unlock button and hold for 30 secs,you have just reset system...the closer you have to get to the car for the remote to work the lower the battery power.sensor on top of dash(little black dimple)rarely,if at all, goes wrong.....

our monitor is likely to be on power save mode which was set for 30 seconds so please adjust the time it should take before i goes on power save mode.

The problem could lie in your monitor screen not having enough power. This could lead to total destruction of your monitor as i had this problem before. The best solution: Get a new monitor or get it fixed.

there is still problems in your power supply board. check it again. further no lamp is needed to be changed.

Howdy folks. There are only 3 things that can go wrong with a screen. Since you both are experiencing the same symptoms, let's ask the same question: When the screen goes blank, is the power button still green or is it orange? A green light indicates a good power supply and a bad screen. An orange light indicates a bad power supply but a good screen. I used to take them apart and try to fix them but they just aren't worth the trouble because they are so inexpensive nowadays.
Either way, I'm the bearer of bad news. It looks like you'll both be getting new screens. Please don't hold it against me when you rate my solution! ;-)

I had a similiar problem... I had to replace my bulb, which means $$$!
