Question about Canon imageRUNNER 1370F All-In-One Laser Printer
I downloaded the printer driver for the Canon iR1370F and it is installed. I had this printer working on a previous computer which crashed yesterday. This is a new computer with Windows XP downgrade installed by computer store.
When I try to print a test page, I keep getting a Windows message that says it will not allow the program to run because of Data Execution Prevention (DEP).
Can someone help?
Your expert wanted me to remove all the XP upgrades from the Add/Remove Programs menu (26 files individually) and restart after each one. Upon further investigation, I discovered a much easier solution. I found that Clearing the Block from the Windows Firewall fixed my problem. I clicked on a box "Unblock" in the CAPT Windows Firewall Utility window. Presto I can now print.
I fixed the problem on my own and was not able to use any of the "expert" advice. Please do not charge me for the "help".
